It's probably related to all of those people who only today visited the TM page because of the General Sale.

The fact that the LV general sale isn't on TM could either help or hurt that auction.

I'm leaning towards HELP.
Wonder what the minimum winning bid will be.
Lower or higher than LA's $280?

vegas is $220. safe to say they are going to blow by LA

PHX RZ is still 115... fingers crossed that it stays close. I don't mind, since I know what the upper end for me is. And we are still a ways from the end of the auction..

I posted same on U2.com's forums, I predict Vegas will wind up $500+ before it's done. That is chump change here, especially when casinos have the ability to snap them up so easily for their players. Even though it's not a hotel show, they are still going to take care of their clients.

I was bidding in that auction but I'm done. I've got a seat

RZ are will call tickets, and require a ID and CC match at pickup. Casinos probably bought seats.

I think Raleigh's issue is the size of the stadium so less seats, plus it's on a Saturday.

Hopefully if there are people just trying to get cheap RZ seats anywhere, they will back off Raleigh and move onto greener pastures.

Regardless, I didn't buy back up tickets so when this auction is done, I'm planning on being a winner :D. Just hope it doesn't beat the LA/NJ1 prices.

if a casino really wants to take care of a whale, they can drive said whale out with a lackey who picks up the tickets at will call and gives them to the whale. then picks the whale up after the show and brings him right back to the casino.

but i think low-row seats in sections 106 or 129 would be more appropriate.

i'm hoping you are bidding properly.. :eyebrow:

there aren't cheap RZ seats just the ones on both sides of the stage and it's standing GA not seated..

anybody here bidding (or know anyone bidding) for the dallas red zone?

it hasn't moved off the $115 and although i already have a GA, it's tempting.

Sorry, I was using "seats" as a colloquial term, but thanks for the clarification. OCD much?

And by "cheap RZ" I mean people may be looking at various venues and seeing where seats, err I mean tickets will be cheap. Obviously they would be wiser to look at Phoenix that's still at $115 instead of Raleigh which is $165. Since some people here are planning on going to more than one concert, it's apparent that their travel plans may be flexible.

And yes, I am bidding properly . If you must know I started at $145 which was quickly surpassed, and my second bid is $165 which is currently still a winner since I bid early. I expect I'll need to do a few more in the next few days, but obviously since I'm getting passed the high prices are not due to little ol' me.

I wouldn't be bidding at all right now. Your $165 bid has just knocked someone out of a winning position. They'll just outbid you now, driving the price higher & higher. I'd just do an ebay, wait until the last minute before making another bid. Although it's scary, as there will be lots of people doing this (& prices will rise quite quickly at the end of the auction), this will keep the final price lower than constantly outbidding each other.

As bonocomet suggested, look at the auction just a few minutes before the end, & make a bid above the minimum (which you will be confident will be a winning bid - as long as this is still in your price range).

Good luck

That's what I was thinking. A host could easily say "Here ya go, Mr. Nakamura (after having fed Mr. N and his entourage a 7 course meal at Joel Robouchon) hop into this limo and let us treat you to a concert experience!

But you're probably right, the seats are where we'll see them. They won't stand up.. ever!

Part of the equation also is to try to have an earlier bid so it'll be less likely to get knocked down, but I see what you are saying. Kinda like the old ebay dutch auctions except back then people would only pay one price.

I went into the auction right at 12pm noon the day it started and was literally one of the first in with a bid. So early counts for something but doesn't keep you ahead unless your initial bid was high but if you are bidding the minimum you will keep getting knocked out everytime someone outbids you. As long as you are in constantly checking the auction and stay in the running each time you get outbid your chances should be good.

Where do you think Raleigh will end? My guess is the $240-250 range. I imagine as the price goes up, the amount of people fighting for the tickets goes down, at least that's what I want to think :D.

anyone notice seats location posted for houston RZ?
Section 141 for backstage and 141 and 142 for RZ...
so, 12 backstage tours tickets (seats 1-12) and 300 red zone per side (secs. 141-142 seats GA2-7 1-50 x 2).

Glendale / Phoenix show

Where do you guys think the bids on teh Glendale show will end?

What happens if I lose the auction - Do they automatically give me a $55 GA ticket, or am I on my own. (If so, its pretty stupid to have the auction end after the regular tickets go on sale.)
