Half a mile from what she said...
I don't know why I haven't come to this part of the forum before. There's some amazing talent around here. You're all amazing. Anyway, I wrote a song recently. The lyrics were inspired by a young women who committed suicide recently at my college. A very sad affair. I don't have a title for it, but it's got music and everything. I just wish I could sing. So anyway, here it is. I hope y'all like it.

She follows whispers in her head
Watching the pastures painted sunset red
And all she wanted was never there
Too many burdens for her to bear

So she'll dance away in the rain
To clense her soul and ease her pain

Quiet angles watch from above
As she dreams of places with ancient love
And all she wanted was never there
Too many burdens for her to bear

So she'll dance away in the rain
To clense her soul and ease her pain

She prays for guidence but nothing is right
Can't understand what happened to her life
And all she wanted was never there
Too many burdens for her to bear

So she'll dance away in the rain
To clense her soul and ease her pain....

God, that sent shivers down my spine

I would love to hear the music, what does it sound like? slow acoustic guitar? slow melodic, electric guitar?

even without any music, those lyrics are put most songwriters to shame... in a word, it's "poetry"

That's so beautiful. And so sad, too. Anyone who has ever experienced suicide will agree, it's the biggest waste of a beautiful gift. I'm sorry you had to see it happen.
Your poetry is gorgeous; like Wanderer said, I wish I could hear the song
