Hello, all,

We'll be holding an outdoor U2charist (without the Eucharist this time) at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, Oregon, on the night of July 25. It's a free event with a free-will offering to help Trinity's award-winning hunger programs, which served more than 50,000 people last year. All of the songs will be performed on the Trinity porch, with the only light as the sun sets on the city being the yellow glow of the porch light. It's a very cool event that I've curated with the help of Bruce Springsteen and the Woody Guthrie Foundation in past summers.

A magnificent ensemble of Portland artists, including Sleater-Kinney's Corin Tucker and Michael Herrman of Buoy LaRue, will shine like stars in the summer night on the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral porch to play U2's songs of faith, social justice, community, and (above all) love. The outdoor event in the Trinity Courtyard is free. Free-will cash offerings benefit Trinity’s hunger programs, which work with the Oregon Food Bank to feed Portland's hungry.
