Aussie version of DVD is made in Europe, region 0 but NTSC not PAL.

Just got mine and have watched Winter a couple of times. DVD sounds so much better than the versions floating around on the web.

I clearly don't understand how these things work :idiot: but isn't Australia a PAL region? I'm looking at this map on Wiki:

Because if they're all NTSC Region 0, I'll be able to watch my copy coming from the UK. :fingerscrossed: I'm in Canada, and we're NTSC.

Did you order from Amazon US? Because mine says "Shipping Estimate: March 9" (!), which is the ship date because the delivery estimate is March 16, 2009 - March 20, 2009 (I opted for free super saver shipping).

i preordered mine feb 2 from bestbuy canada and it now states march 17 estimated date...Damn!

The bars are on the clear plastic sleeve not on the cover.
Most digital TV sets & DVD players in Australia can do PAL or NTSC.

Amazon.co.uk dispatch date is still 2nd of March. I wonder why some people have gotten theirs shipped already. Ah well, as long as I get mine for the fair price of.. well, not all that much, I won't complain too much
