I did, The Sweetest Thing...it was on the Space Oddity album
I grew up with every one singing the song "Pamela Pamela" to me, an old song, I'm not sure who had a hit with it,waaaaaaaaaay back then.
I just did a google search and found out Toto have a song called "Pamela" . No doubt some punk band or other has written a song in homage to Pamela Anderson or at least parts of her anatomy?
Pamela by Toto
"Side by side I'll be yours forever
Yes I will Rain or shine
Any kind of weather
Any kind
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you
Let's take what's getting old and make it new
Eye to eye It's a blinding confrontation
I said you and I are a deadly combination
So don't start mixing truth with jealousy
The road we're on is clear as far as I can see
Pamela
Don't break this heart of mine
Just remember it may not heal this time
Pamela
There is no second chance
For the one who leaves it all behind
Black and white Always go together
And on day and night
You're the precious jewel I treasure
Wanting every part of you is not a crime
Could it be that you're the one who's wrong this time
Pamela
Don't break this heart of mine
Just remember it may not heal this time
Pamela
There is no second second chance
For the one who leaves it all behind
Leave all
Oh Pamela
Thousands of miles away but always in my heart
Pamela
So don't break this heart of mine
Just remember it may not heal this time
Pamela
There is no second chance
For the one who leaves it all behind
Pamela
Don't break this heart of mine
Just remember it may not heal this time
Pamela
There is no second chance
For the one who leaves it all
Leave all beind
I still love you little girl
I still love you
And you know it little Pamela
I still love you yes I do
And you know it little Pamela
Come on
Oh little Pamela"
aww that's kinda sweet, pamelita. And lotsa mentions of "behind"...that would be rightI Actually , shades of ATYCLB? My behind, the baggage I have no choice butt to bring.
I just found the old one I grew up with. It is by Graham Gouldman
Pamela, Pamela (1966)
Pamela, Pamela Remember the days
Of inkwells and apples And books and school plays
Where little Brer Rabbit kissed Pooh in the wood
And Fluff was the cat that sat on the rug
Oh, Pamela
I remember so well
When Laurel and Hardy were shown at the flicks
With sticky red lollies on splintery sticks
Pigtails and ribbons and crushes on miss
Secret discussions about a first kiss
But you were young
And everything was new
Impatient to do things you couldn't do
Oh, Pamela, Pamela
You started to grow
Answers to questions you wanted to know
When the rest of your childhood Forgets as a dream
And the harshness of life Dims those peaches and cream
When Laurel and Hardy were shown at the flicks
With sticky red lollies on splintery sticks
Pigtails and ribbons and crushes on miss
Secret discussions about a first kiss
But you were young And everything was new
Impatient to do things you couldn't do.....
Pame laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
