Rock n' Roll Doggie
Hi everyone at interference, lurker the forayer here, once again to suck information out of you, nothing else, you're not friends, just vending machines.
I just discovered Ani DiFranco
My introduction to her is her live double-disc, "so much shouting so much laughter".
Can anyone recommend more stuff like her? I like strong personalities (not Dido types) who sing about topics dear to women, in an intelligent manner -- not in a male-bashing, or whiny way. I also like astounding skills on the piano or guitar. I tire pop tunes easily, so please don't recommend Shawn Colvin, even though her guitar picking rocks...
I'm already heavily into Tori Amos, as you guys know, and don't really fancy PJ Harvey.
