HI, everyone!
Tiny Hippo cartoon always reminds me of my favorite ever post from Texts From Last Night:
(352): i think it would be like really awesome if scientist could genetically engineer manatees to be like the size of goldfish so i could have one in my fishbowl and be like FUCK YEAH TINY MANATEE
I love how the "Bono in an elevator" picture always shows up in each new thread . JJAsi, thanks for the links to all that stuff, will have to look at/hear it at some point here.
That's...kinda what I was wondering.
Can't think of any weird cemetery stories of my own. I will say this, though, if you ever find yourself traveling through my part of the country, through Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, that sort of thing, you will come across a LOT of cemeteries at some point. Just out there in the open land, all on their own, or on the edge of some small town (usually as you're leaving it. Wouldn't want that to be your welcome to the town, after all ).
*Nods*
Awwwwwww . Maybe she got a bit freaked out by his new appearance and didn't quite recognize him at first?
Glad to hear he's home now, though . Yay!
Agreed.
Moonlit_angel, I PMed you back...
I think it might be that he looks different, and smells different (he did have to spend one night at the vet's office, and one night at the vet's home....)
For a few moments there, she was fine with him, and then the growling and hissing started back up...

So is your kittah home, now!!??! read your posts from last thread. WHAT a WONDERFUL Veterinarian!
LOL, awww. I feel so bad for your kitty!
Yeah, she's in a mood about something-cats seem to get kinda moody sometimes. I've noticed that with my cat-if she's all curled up by one of us/on one of us and we go to move and she has to get down as a result, she'll go off in a corner and just sit there by herself for a bit. And if we try to call her back, she just ignores us, like she's mad and pouting or something .
I need to show the Tiny Hippo cartoon to my sister. I think she'd enjoy it.
And, oh, BTW, Grace..........
...when Bono is back in NYC for some manner of public/semi-public event
I'll teach ya how to stalk, IF you evah change your mind temperament-wise!
Yea. Especially with her.Oh, really? Huh. That's interesting-certainly a possible explanation.
Good luck....At the gym waiting to get my butt handed to me by my new trainer. Wish me luck.
Yes, kittah is home now! And acting so much like he used to it's not to be believed.
This vet is the best person ever. I love her.
Well, the one with the attitude problem is a calico, and we've been told they tend to be bipolar.....
Dana (the calico) can definitely be counted as high strung.Tara, just popping in to say that my cats always have issues when one of them have been at the vet. A couple of them are chill about it, but a few of the higher strung ones hiss like crazy at him or her for half a day or so. It's the smell, it freaks them out and they think it's a strange cat. I usually just try to keep them apart in separate rooms till the funny smelling one smells like home again. I've also seen suggestions that you can dab vanilla at the base of all of their tails so they smell the same.
My calico is actually one of my sweetest cats, very timid. It's my tortie girl who is the psycho cat from nastyville.
Because it can't be said enough: Tiny Hippo.
Off to eat, just got home a few minutes ago and I'm starving. Have a nice evening, everyone.
Aw, I had a sweet calico once. She was awesome. Her name was Wambli, and she was definitely a guardian cat. She nearly beat the hell out of a doberman once. It was neat.
And, unless my parents, my brother and I were at home, she wouldn't let anyone in the apartment. My mom even got called at work once because the workers needed to repaint our porch, and she wouldn't let them in the door.
I miss her. She died in 1997.
This back when we lived in Texas, and our neighbors in the building had 2 dogs: a poodle-type thing (one of those small ones, but not a miniature, I think) and a giant doberman. Well, my cat at the time didn't even bother with the poodle thing because she knew she could kick its ass. (and she could, too), but the doberman tried to be all tough and be the boss of the situation. Ince it actually managed to chase her up a tree, and the owner had the nerve to say, "I think your cat has a deathwish with my dog," to which I replied, "No, your dog has a deathwish with my cat."I want to know more about THAT story!
Haha, aw, wow. Way to be protective!
Ours waits by the door for us when she hears us coming up the stairs. I can see her paws underneath the small crack at the bottom of the door as I come up the stairs and hear her meowing. Then sometimes she runs downstairs for some reason, and when we go to get her, she turns around and runs back up into the apartment. Go figure .
We had to leave her with my dad's parents when we went to Guam, and they said she got hit by a car.... she must've missed us so much and was trying to look for us, because she never went on the road before. She understood that it was dangerous.

And the next day, my cat beat up their dog. It was best sight ever. After that, the doberman never went near our cat again.

Actually, the way they said it was way more mean: "She decided to play speedbump."
This was all when I was about 6 or 7, and that dog was bigger than I was!...oh, my god, that is awesome. I've never heard of a cat scaring the crap out of a dog like that before, 'cause dobermans aren't exactly, you know, tiny animals. Cats can be pretty intimidating, though, if they need to be-I've gotten a bit startled before if our cat hisses at me if she's not in the mood to play or I somehow bother her bad leg or something. And she doesn't look like she could hurt a flea.
But man, I would've liked to see that scenario play out. I feel kinda bad for the dog, though .
Okay, that's got to be one of the saddest, most heartbreaking stories I've ever heard. Poor thing. I'm so sorry about that .
This was all when I was about 6 or 7, and that dog was bigger than I was!
She had to be tough, though. She was the runt of the litter, and the people who owned her mom also had a dog, who had eaten 1 or 2 of her siblings. So, she sorta learned early: don't trust dogs.
Oh, we when got her, she was so tiny! She fit in the palm of my dad's hand.
She was really a great cat. She ate grapes, broccoli, and popcorn. And beef jerky.
That's alongside her actual cat food. She was a sneaky little thief when it came to beef jerky.
This pic was the one left out of the mandatory first post. Larry is not pleased
Larry should never be left out of the obligatory pics.
Are calicos known to be nutty? I adopted one a couple of years ago, from an abusive situation. I don't know how old she is or anything. But she is the sweetest cat ever.
Ooh I'm totally BUSTED. I KNEW zooey would notice, dammit!
Well, technically he wasn't. There's still a Larry, and since edge and Adam only got one, Larry isn't any more special than they are. unlike certain other rockstars.
