where can i find a searhable datebase for other countrys certifations? besides us

The IFPI certifies album sales for all of Europe. The sale of 1 million albums in Europe gets a platinum award 2, 3 or more million will get multi-platinum awards, similar to the RIAA.

Currently, only albums released after January 1, 1994 can be certified. You can view the European awards at www.ifpi.org .

More specifically, for album sales and respective awards in just the United Kingdom, you can go to www.bpi.co.uk/ . This site is like the RIAA site and you can research any artist you want going as far back as awards were given for album sales in the United Kingdom. Remember that the IFPI does count United Kingdom sales in its totals for Europe, but if you want to see more specifically sales in the UK, this is the website that has them.

www.cria.ca is the Canadian version of the United States RIAA. It currently does not have a searchable database, but you can look at the monthly certifications going back several years.

You have to be a member of our secret cult for us to tell you this. And you need to pay us all $$. And get a tatoo. And, uh... spin around 3x while drinking a bloody mary. Yeah, that's it.

But woohoo, thanks to Sting, we're all safe from the mind control of the Doctor's cult!
