The goal of this thread is simply to keep a chart run - with sales numbers if possible - for NLOTH around the world. Unless exact sales numbers are known, we can round to the nearest thousand.

When this thread is updated for any (or all) countries, we can just copy this information and add to it (to keep a running total). This is better than saying, "Week 4 is #5 in X."

Thanks!

Global:

Can you clarify this? Is it:

France:
1-2-3-4

63,109 + 51,134 + 24,422 + ~15,000

Total: ~153,665

Japan:
1-4-12-16

32,474 + 16,733 + 9,632 +12,159

Total : 70,998

If so, then in Japan, despite the drop in chart position, the album saw an increase in sales, which is good.

Ireland is 1-1-2, Canada is 1-1-1

In another thread, it was estimated that sales in Canada were 12,000 for the week. Can this be verified?

Yeah that's right & 12k sales in Canada this week is correct as well - so 98k total sold on a 2xP/160k shipment.

Hi Medmo! Thanks you for the data - although I'm not sure this particular thread was the right area for it (as I wanted this thread to focus on weekly updates around the world). Still, always great to have more numbers! So thanks!

It's clear, though, that these numbers are only through week 2 (as with week 3, NLOTH is closer to 700K sold). The Billboard year, if I'm correct, goes from the beginning of Dec. to the following end of Nov. Can anyone verify? This is why, though, some of those numbers are big as they include the holiday sales. Despite that, after 2 weeks, NLOTH was already the #16 album of the Billboard year. That's impressive. It's a shame NLOTH didn't enjoy holiday sales - it may have been much higher already.

I dont see the big deal. This isnt unusual. ATYCLB was down to #20 in its 4th week, and was at around #30 I think a few weeks after that, but once the 2nd single came out it climbed right back up into the top 10 (then the Brits moved it up to #3 i think). The album sold 1 million in the UK. I'm sure once the 2nd single comes out the album will climb again.

im presuming this is regarding the UK?

remember HTDAAB was at #1 for 3 weeks and with all the competition in december, that was impressive. & with sales of over 125,000 for the first 5 weeks. I hope NLOTH can have a long run in the top 40 like ATYCLB but I really cant see NLOTH getting anywhere near the ATYCLB / HTDAAB sales numbers im afraid, maybe 750k at best.

And without a big single 300-400k maybe.

Can anyone update some numbers - especially if you have sales numbers - for Global and other countries (we have the U.S.).

Here was Global after 3 weeks (the first week being early release in some countries):

Global:
3-1-1

100,000 + 1,182,000 + 421,000

Total: 1,703,000

Global Update

3-1-1-1-2-5

100,000 + 1,182,000 + 421,000 + 250000? + 168000? + 136000

Total = 2 286 000

USA 1-3-2-6-12

Well, looks like the Spanish love "No Line On The Horizon" more than any other country in the world.

The Czec Republic & Hungary have done 5 straight wks at #1 but Spain actually went 1-1-1-2-1. Also Europe was #15 1st week ('cos just a few countries)

Other countries,

Germany : 1-2-3-6-6
sales quite possibly something like : ~80k (certified 2xG/1xP for 200k) + ~30k + 19k + ~15k + ~15k (9th best selling album of year) = ~160k

France : 1-2-3-4-4-6
sales : 63,109 (2 days only) + 51,134 + 24,422 + ~15k + ~12k + ~10k = ~175k

UK : 1-1-6-9-17
sales : 157,926 + 44,261 (certifed 1xP for 300k) + 30,199 + 16,445 + ~10k = ~259k

Japan (overall/international) : 4/1-11/1-12/1-16/1-28/1-24/5
sales : 32,474 + 16,733 + 9,632 + 12,159 + 5,815 + 3,825 = 80,638

The UK drops are terrible

72%-32%-46%-39%

France looks better with
19%-53%-37.5%-20%-17%
Sales are clearly levelling off

Japan is a bit all over the place with
48%-42%-(26%+)-52%-34%
