Zero Dude.....why we get no replies to our writings....well I guess it's not written from the heart and of course, who are we compared to more important names. Nonetheless, I have to post this writing because even if no one else replies or prints it anywhere......at least it may mean something to someone else out there in a World torn apart.

=============================

So Who Is Mr. Clip?

So who is Mr. Clip?
Perhaps that young soldier you see
on the daily news report
or that name listed in the newspaper
under deaths in Iraq this week.

Mr. Clip believes that goodness
still reigns supreme in his hometown
and that the cry of battle is worth the risk
of life and limb.
Naive yet strong of mind and will
determined to fight for the cause....
though oftentimes it is difficult to understand,
still Mr. Clip carries on the duty assigned.

It is a fierce struggle and the images
are never forgotten although they should be.
Each day is like the past
perhaps a little different as when
a fellow soldier dies in his arms
and a tear falls and a saddened heart
tries to return to the reality of war...
at least that is what they call this conflict.

Mr. Clip has no gender or race
and age makes no difference
because these barriers do not exist
in a crumbled war ravaged land.
Meanwhile Mr. Clip's hometown
proudly tie that yellow ribbon
awaiting Mr. Clip to return safely
to family and loved ones and
they read every e-mail and letter sent.

So who is Mr. Clip?
Someone caught between time
and the uncertainty which surrounds
a daily existence...not pleasant by any means
and where imagination makes it more livable.
So you ask how Mr. Clip was named?
Ask Mr. Clip yourself.......as he loads the rifle once again
and continues the mission assigned.

That is who Mr. Clip is......
how often we do forget as our lives are enveloped
with some other trivialities.

Wizard2c, it's been a while since I've seen you :)

I keep reading your posts, don't worry... Those of ZeroDude too...

It's just that I haven't found a lot of time to answer fully.

I just wanted to say that you've put this into words beautifully, the whole context about the war and such.

Whenever I read one of your texts, I feel that I've learned a little more :)
