Next time perhaps it's easier to say the Oceania leg of the tour, since most tours legs are named after their continent. European, North American, South American.... etc. you get my point. NZ'ers don't like being compared to Aussies.

That's irrelevant. I'm saying that the only continent in this region is the continent of AUSTRALIA. All other entities + Australia make up the region of OCEANIA.

I've always learned that Australia is the island, Oceania is the continent consisting of Australia, Indonesia, New Guinea and New Zealand..
