My brother has Type-1 Diabetes. I guess "fuck you" is the position of the right on his illness?
"fuck you, pay me" is the position of the right on his illness
I do understand, somewhat where you are coming from, I fall more into the category of someone that pays for a lot more government services than I use.
There are those that are irresponsible with their choices and expect to have services provided to them at no or little costs.

I don't drive on every highway and I'm already paying to constantly repair them.
That person, you and your family should be the primary parties that are responsible for covering his expenses.

Exactly! Healthcare is a personal choice. If you have no insurance your family should step in and take care of you. Why should you burden society? If your family is poor? Oh well maybe they should have made better career choices!
that is a valid point gasoline taxes pay for most highways, so we all pay and use
I pay for public education, I have no children, but don't mind it is for the common good. I don't want to pay for everybodies higher education, and beer pong, vape leaning experiences.
We really don't need two of them.
I can think of about a dozen countries I would rather contract an acute or chronic illness in than the United States.
I would not call it a choice, and I do lean towards a single payer program
but I don't have a lot of sympathy for paying for people's obesity related health issues, I think people should be more accountable for their choices, I know we won't leave them dying in the streets.

I pay highway taxes for streets to drive on
not for a place for size XXX to lounge
And if they had a good job that provided health insurance then they wouldn't need to lounge on the street. Because they're fat and most likely dying of a heart attack.
But that's exactly what we want. Someone who pays into the system and then dies quickly. Need to make sure they have a DNR in place for maximum net profit.
You bet your ass it is!really ?
is that necessary
