On way home...what a show! We had seats in section 128 and it was awesome...so much smoother than the rose bowl show. The band sounded brilliant and the set flowed beautifully. Bono is in fine form, friends! Can't wait for GA tomorrow night...I predict the fly will be played and hopefully Bad as well.

This was my first 360 show (of 40 or so) in a baseball stadium.

I thought the field GA was way,way better here than a football/soccer stadium but the stadium seats looked liked they sucked, regardless where you were (save for upper deck behind home plate which were probably good)

The design of soccer stadiums make the lower level sideline seats between the claw legs turn out to be very good, the angle of the baseball field made these look shitty

As far as GA went, I didnt come in until Kravitz finished and was easily able to find a spot dead center to the rail, about 50 feet away

It looks like alot of people take advantage of the extra room behind the Red Zones and neglect alot of prime spots in front of the stage

Toilet situation sucked on the field, both locations were at the respective foul poles.

Plenty points of sale for beer on the field (although 12.25-$14.25 may bankrupt much of the crowd)

Beershack will be admiring the ladies of Anaheim Hooters tomorrow around noon if anyone wants to knock one back

Lenny may never end.

Lenny has improved 100% over Seattle.Let love Rule was only 10 minutes. :)

bit of a clusterfuck for sure, but surrounded by some of my friends for the first time at a show, which was awesome. I will never again devote so much time to getting a good spot. It's just a gamble and my life has missed me in all my claw stalking.

Spending time with lovely u2 friends and seeing my favorite band
checking a parking lot compulsively for a possible line up

Pride dedicated to Maria Shriver :D

I'm not sure if you read my post from a couple of days ago but I've been to a concert at Anaheim once (albeit a long time ago) where the infield was not completely fenced off - just a rectangle that encompassed the pitcher's mound and home plate.

You were right, they did allow people on the infield grass, which is surprising and (as an Angels fan) a little dismaying. It is better for the concert atmosphere, I suppose, to not have a large gap in the crowd. I guess the Angels figured that if they are going have to re-sod the field, they might as well re-sod the whole field.

In fact, the stage was located much closer to home plate than was I was expecting. The placement of the stage made the seats in the original (three-level) grandstand better, but the stage's placement made the seats in left field appear to be, well, fairly shitty.

Show was great, but I thought the crowd was flat. The people on the front rail on Edge's side just stood there most of the night and weren't into the show. A lot of people behing me were also like that.

Morning :)

Got here a little after 6. Got my adjusted number: e14.

In line with tim, alma, Laura, David and mala.

Need a shower and some food bad.

Oh.
My.
God.

I was waaaayy up in the left field stands and I thought the seats were pretty good, almost better than my douchebag Denver seat.

Dudette, nobody in Denver knew the words to any of the songs.

More people were electing to go to the Adam (gate 4) line. I had the choice of E14 (gate 1), or a30-something. I chose e14.

Not a great start to the morning.

They walked us onto the grounds. They do not have it set up for 3 lines as yesterday. It is one good sized open area. The first "row" consists of 7 or 8 people.

I had to split to get something to eat and shower. May or may not nap.

Was this in the inner circle? We did see a couple security dudes come rushing past us from Edge's side at one point...

I was on Edge's side and what happened is some guy peed in his pants and the floor, some girl that was wearing flip-flops felt it go on her foot and told security. They escorted the guy out.
The guy then snuck back in and the girl let security know. This time the guy saw security coming and pushed back into the crowed and 3 guards went into the crowed after him.

This happened Right in front of me, so I saw it go down.
I was not wearing shoes so yeah safe to say my feet needed a scrubbing when I got home.
Felt sorry for the girl who got peed on.

wow, that's something scary....

I had a good experience in line, a good experience running in, and a very bad experience when the other line got held up by 10 minutes, causing me to lose the places I was holding for two friends who were in that line. Show itself was OK. I thought I'd be sick seeing the Beatiful Day intro again but it got me all emotional anyway. Bono and I had a moment, so that was really cool.

Nice. :barf: Must not have been too far away from us. Glad I missed that.

I was 3 people back from rail on edges side last night behind Dan and Nic, etc...huge guy pushes his way to front during Even Better...I mean fat. They took him out, then during HMTM at end extreme drunk with weed hair crams in saying he wants to take pics as he is burning people with his bent cigarette, blocks my view taking the BLURRIEST pictures possible...needless to say my video could be better, but I did film the mayhem during EBTTRT...lol

Lenny, are you gonna go my way?

Wow, you just never know with GA. Had more fun than I thought with cheap seats last night. Rude & annoying people are part of the package on the floor. It still blows my mind that people think they are entitled to push their way through.

They seemed much looser & more playful in Oakland.

Night 2 should be the one for lift-off, isn't that how it usually goes?:hyper:

Anyone catch the band on entry?

Incredible show, WAY better than the Rose Bowl line up experience (disaster) was.....Unfortunately as others have said, the setlist was pretty standard, but they were definitely in top shape. Hold me and Zooropa really brought down the house for me. It felt more genuine hearing those than Pride and SBS for the millionth time. So, was anyone lucky enough to meet the band? Where did you guys wait out?

Ask the people on Adam's side what they thought of it.

The GA gongshow I was referring to was that they'd let everyone on Edge's side in 10 minutes prior to everyone on Adam's side.

We all know the difference 10 minutes makes.

For those of you on Edge's side, you're lucky I wasn't there, or Adam's side would have got in first...

Completely disgraceful though to do this to people waiting all day, night and in some cases two nights prior. Disgusting.

Look it's always the chance you take. Look at the whole system...fan run lines, numbering hands, etc...Stadium folks don't always know how to deal with it. They should, but don't...so?

We are 15 or so minutes away from being let in.

The first 50+ have been sectioned off and are in 4 lanes.

I was in 2nd position in one of them. Now I am 3rd. A single digit guy came back and got in my lane.

:heart pounding:
