I'm about to make a pound cake for a dinner party my mother is having tomorrow. She needs a dessert. We have to wait until after that to eat any cake. That's OK, we had a gazillion cakes during December.
I don't know, what's a bundt? A pound cake is a cake with a pound of each ingredient--butter, flour, eggs, and traditionally cream although my recipe doesn't use cream.
I made a cake a couple of months ago. Yeah, as far as pound cakes are concerned I'm a cakeholic. That's not to mention trips to the import store to get baklava and Arabic butter cookies.
I really don't think pound cakes are that hard to make. I'm actually not much of a cook. You just soften the butter by leaving it out (and sticking it in the microwave), then the biggest hassle is sifting the flour, I sort of hate doing that, but then you just mix everything together, put it in the pan, and bake it.
