well i'm back from butterfly hunting. i didn't find quite what i was hoping for but it was still fun. my friend anette and i met at 8am this morning and decided to go to one of the nearby parks instead of the lake first cuz she didn't have much time.
the first park wasn't very much. it was a nice little walk, but not much of a park, and not one butterfly. it may have been too early or too cool.
after that we went to her son's school because he said he had seen some there in the garden at the school. we saw a couple there, which is where i took the pictures.
after we came back home because she had to go run some errands and take her son to fencing class. it was funny, as soon as we drove in the parking lot, we saw 2 or 3 butterflies flying around. later i drove by the lake that we were going to originally walk around. i didn't get out and stop anywhere, but i saw quite a few as i was driving around the scenic lake. i think i stopped counting around 20 or so.
on my way home i was at the intersection to turn off the main highway to get on the street that goes by the apartment community i live in. while i was at that intersection, there were butterflies after butterflies! i saw at least 10 at that one intersection waiting at the red light!
anyway, here's the few pictures i took this morning.
