My friend Chris (who is an art major) just asked my friend Laura and I to pose in the buff together so he could draw us. I said yes, but now I'm having second thoughts. After all, the apartment he shares with my friend (and his girlfriend) Heather is freezing and mighty drafty, and it's been no warmer than 15 degrees here since last week. But it could be fun...would you do it?

Oh dear, lol.

I think besides the stranger seeing your boobs incident, this is the first time you've really scandalized me, hehe. ;)

I did that once...only it was a polaroid camera and it was by an artist and not actually for art, so uh...yeah, lol :silent:

Go for it, just make sure they crank up the heat, lol.

does your family know you're doing this? :shame:

Depends on how well you know him. You have to be careful who you trust with nude images of yourself, even if its for artistic purposes. You don't want to have a falling out with him and then realize he has naked sketches of you. I'd feel weird about that.

Haha! If I do it I'll tell my mom...but that's just something that dad doesn't need to know!!!

But yeah, I could also do without 20 pounds so I'd be a wee bit self-conscious. But who knows, maybe this would make me feel better about myself.

And Chris is a great guy...I wouldn't need to be worried about him doing weird things with the drawings...

If I trusted the artist, I could.

I bet you'll see a side of yourself you never saw before (and i'm not talking physical side  ;) )

i think one would have to have alot of bravery and self confidence to pose naked for art. i'd say go for it.

I don't think I could ever be brave enough pose like that either...If I would tho, I think I'd feel more comfortable in a classroom type situation, like when I was in art school, we drew nude models...unless I was really good friends with the guy and really trusted him a lot, I think I'd feel uncomfortable going to his apartment to pose for him

Why would he start with nude drawings?

You start with nude drawings so that the artist can learn how to draw the human body. Clothes get in the way of the curves and features of the body. Once the artist has a better understanding then all she/he has to do is "wrap" the clothing around the nude.

And I would imagine that he is looking to get some practice in. He'll use classical poses not pornographic! I say go for it.

I guess my question was "why full nudity"? From my artist friends, practicing drawing a hand or face can be as much of a challenge as a nude body. I thought it was an unusual first request.

Why does it have to be nude? Why cant they wear bikini's at least. You could still see plenty.

A wee bit suspicious that he wants you and your friend Laura to pose together, but if you feel his request is legit and you want to do it, why not. I'd do it in circumstances that felt comfortable to me.

Hardee-har-har

Chris didn't want my friend and I to pose together. In fact, I suggested it. He asked both of us, and I said, hey--it would be fun if we could do it together. We're very close friends, and I think that the situation would be easier if I had someone close to me, well, join along, so I don't feel as um, naked. Haha. So that's the scoop on that...

How can you feel less nekkid when yer clothes arent on yer body??

You could hide behind your friend though ;)

edit: After seeing the word Naked all over this place I have come to the conclusion its a very dirty word hum hum hum hum.....
