But on other places, like Yahoo, U2 isn't even in the Top 20 for searches. On this page, Green Day is listed in the Top 5 for December searches. And on this page, U2 aren't even in the Top 20 for daily searches (while Green Day is #14).

So it really seems to depend on the search engine.

U2 have a very web savvy fanbase compaired to almost any other band in the world and I still think that holds true today as it did 10 years ago...so it doesnt surprise me that U2 beat Green Day.

While I do not dislike Green Day they are no match for U2 in any way. They have to get credit now though for staying together so long and staying successful while never changing their sound. So many other bands from their era are gone or forgotten now.
