its not just me is it
but its become a bit too widely accepted that singing in all forms has to be sung with that whiny american accent
i mean no matter how alternative the music is, or even if its a song sung in a different language, it's all sung in an american accent

in many ways i guess its unavoidable because you have to take your tongue behind your teeth when you sing as you inhale, and as you sing you sound like a 'flabbin yank' :p

i mean no matter how odd you sound when you talk, like delores o'riordan with her heavy irish accent, is this because of the boyband and girl singer revolution?

back in the old days we at least had springsteen sounding like he's drunk, or maybe ACDC, jimmy barnes (who sing a lot from the throat!)

also im not discriminating against americans, i just like to hear someone sing in a different accent
