Apart from Zooropa and POP, I associate all pre-millennial U2 releases with autumn. The music really takes me back to junior high and high school in Northern Virginia in the '80s and early '90s, when I probably needed their music the most.
In my mind, it's all become closely associated with the trappings of autumn where I grew up: Cool winds, changing leaves, and darkening days. As much as I hated school, I loved the fall, and U2 became the soundtrack for the season.
Especially The Unforgettable Fire, which I also strongly associate with a class trip to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. I listened to it on repeat while touring the museum, and it became a seminal sensory experience in my life.
