The autumnal grace that bodes so well
For eager souls departs,
Upon a dove wore Gaelic prose
Devised by naïve hearts,

For afterthoughts as echoed dew
Sate the doleful needs,
Of naïve souls whose hearts dispose
Of decadence and greed,

For autumnal grace a phrase misplaced
In modern times bestowed,
With meaning laced with fervent haste
That once defined our souls.

Excellent writing, Zero Dude.

I consider it to be more of the incipient decline....
yes, the savers of the World.....they try....
to a wizard's view....it's the balance of good and evil...
and as I last left Gandalf....I believe it was mentioned
that the battle (of / on / at) Middle Earth has just begun.

The Earth is crumbling around Mankind, so one asks
is it because of Mankind itself seeking the power of evil
rather than the power of goodness.
What good is a treasure of gold when Mankind no longer exists.

I pondered this thought yesterday at the end of another so-named year, 2005.
It is a grim thought.....I think you and perhaps Bono would best understand it.

"A starving child in Africa begs for a crust of bread......and "death" holds out its hand."

'Of naïve souls whose hearts dispose
Of decadence and greed,'

^ I don't know why, but I find that to be very true.
