Stonewall, when Tucker =predicted= the election for Kerry, he was trying to be an honest journalist and not a partisan talking head....
Verte, this happened on the NBC-TV Sunday morning "Chris Matthews Show" (preceding "Meet The Press") on Sun., Oct. 31, just two days before the election. There was a round table of four known political journalists. When Tucker Carlson made that unsupportive prediction, believe me, it even shocked the pros sitting with him. The host Chris Matthews stated: "I'm gonna save this tape!" Basically, the ones predicting Kerry 52/Bush 47 were with the DNC! For a conservative Republican to predict his candidate losing to a huge, national audience had to rile the Bush campaign and all Bush supporters --especially in a veryclose election. It really came off as very undermining and an omen of gloom for Bush. Chris' subsequent e-mails back that perception up big time.
