Father Christmas stuck in a gale

Yesterday's hope, lost in the mix
Tomorrow's sun and the devil's tricks
Hanging by the coattails of minutes past
A certain future undertow
Where do we go..from here?
The yellow sky breaks, the rain pours down
And floods your heart
There was nowhere to begin
