U2's New Single Due in November

Ed Note: The release date for U2's album in this article contradicts earlier reports and label confirmation Interference.com has received.

U2's next single "Vertigo" will be released on November 5.

The song is the first single to be taken from the band’s as yet untitled 11th studio album, which will be released on November 19.

It was recorded at the band’s Hanover Quay Studio in Dublin and produced by Steve Lillywhite who worked on their earlier albums.

That would make both releases on a Friday. Didn't they do that before in Ireland? This could work out expensive to get the new album into the UK!

These dates are correct as in Ireland they release all recordings on Fridays. Since this was in an Irish newspaper, they are only referring to Ireland. Japan will be the first country to get the new album on November17, followed by Ireland on the 19th. For ATYCLB, in Holland they jumped the gun in many stores and released it on the Friday before the planned European release, so this may happen again with the new album. The US and Canada are amongst the last countries to get the release on November 23, 1 day after most of the world will get it.

I heard Norway get the album first. It's listed there to be out on the 15th Nov. over there.

Hanover Quay Studio ... wasn't 'Hanover Quay' one of the original hypothesized (and later discarded) album titles?
