DUBLIN, IRELAND Wednesday 2.12.2003 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- U2 has no problem racking up the nominations and bringing home the goods, whether it be the Grammy, Golden Globes, Junos, or pretty much any other award, when the guys put on their tuxes and walk the red carpet, chances are they?re gonna go home winners.

Except for the Oscar. The NMC eCharting artists have never won one of the bald guys. And Bono says picking one up would be the fulfillment of a dream for the band.

"Our dream is that the Academy will recognize the fact that this song grew out of the story and the characters. It wasn't just put in the film," Bono told AP radio. "That's what we're most proud of."

Way to go for the nomination, boys! I really hope that they win. Nothing brings me back to the exact emotions I had on 9-11 like "The Hands That Built America." It's almost eerie how Bono's vocals bring me back to that exact moment when I saw the towers get hit. This song deserves all the praise it can get.
