What HTDAAB songs should be kept or dropped this tour?

Very interesting results so far. I can remember so many people wanting to hear Crumbs From Your Table last tour and now way more want it dropped than kept.

    MERGED --> U2 Vertigo Tour - Postponed

Sorry but you're a selfish prick, if that's how you feel. I wouldn't blame Edge for not giving a shit about people like you being out of pocket, although he probably does as the decision "wasn't taken lightly." That is of course, assuming it is Sian who is ill.

What time do they open the gates for stadiums shows???

I think it was around 4:15-4:30 that the gates opened in Glasgow. I think I remember standing in the stadium at 4:30, in the blistering heat (longest day of the year for sunlight) and thinking..."I've got another 4 and a half hours of this."

    2006 Tour Rehearsals....

I doubt the shows on the 4th leg - stadium shows - will consist of more than one acoustic song (Yahweh) as I don't think it'd have the same atmosphere to arenas, particularly nearing the end. Mid-show a-la ZooTV would make more sense for acoustic songs though.

    biggest technical glitches of tour

Bono getting elbowed by The Edge in the jaw while dancing behind him at the start of the Glasgow show - Think it was ABOY or The Electric Co. Bono's head fired back and The Edge almost burst into a fit of laughter. I think a problem occured with the lights during Bullet in Glasgow too...I've...

Whoa... "Zoo Station" should've been the opener this tour!

Disagree. In my opinion the weakest link on that album is Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World.

What was the single worst show in Europe this year?

I only went to Glasgow. I thought the band were fantastic, but the crowd could have been a lot better. Especially when they're playing a song like Zoo Station and Running to Stand Still and hardly anyone knows what it is.

How about instead of blaming Hamish

Glasgow seemed full of a lot of part-timers. I still had the time of my life but sometimes the reaction of the crowd can have an effect on the band for the rest of the night. Luckily I don't think that happened in Glasgow. Electric Co. was amazing, New Year's Day was flawless, Streets was...

Will There Be A European Leg Vertigo Dvd???

It started getting really dark around the end of SBS/start of BTBS in Glasgow. Mind you, that was like the longest day of the year in terms of hours of sunlight. :P

should u2 stop it with hamish

Anyone else think Edge's backing vocals on Zoo Station are way too low in the mix? I also don't like the sound of Bono's guitar during One, it's just needless.

MERGED-->I made a Croke Park DVD cover...

I thought it was the first two shows that got recorded. I was also under the impression that Croke Park wasn't planned for release.

    Favorite Concert Moments?

From my first ever and only U2 show so far - Hampden Park, Glasgow, my favourite moments included: - The Edge coming out on the ramp and going crazy during The Electric Co. - New Year's Day - The Edge's performance, both musically and vocally on that song turned it from just another U2 song to...

How will the Vertigo tour change now that 40,000 people are confirmed dead in Asia?

Man, I remember being shocked because I heard it was in the hundreds a good few days ago. RIP to those who have lost their lives in this disaster. As for the Vertigo show, I guess a reference might pop up in Streets or Pride, but I also agree that the main focus will continue to be Africa.

U2: Back to Basics – Honestly

If we didn't sit around every show-night waiting for pictures, setlists etc...would we still feel the same way of visuals being unnecessary? I know that after Brussels I pretty much knew exactly what the visuals would be like, so as I had seen it before...it gave me a chance to take my...
