    Acrobat

Thanks folks. Yes, I was afraid of botching the solo, hence my immense concentration and shaky head (much to the hilarity of my wife).

    Acrobat

I think Third Eye Blind played a dumbed-down version of I Will Follow when they supported U2 on the Popmart tour. Yeah, if had more time I'd work on the guitar sound (and drum sound!) for a bit longer, but like you say, it was the playing that I really wanted to get across. If this goes down...

    Thanks Mr Orchestra!

    Acrobat

Hey folks, it's been a while. Seeing as U2 seem to have no intention of playing Acrobat on the I&E tour, I thought I'd play it myself on guitar, bass and drums: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DchRf-R48xo Ben

    U218 iTunes Window Rip-Off

I went onto iTunes this morning to download Window In The Sky, only to find that, surprise surprise, it's not available for individual download. So if I want that song I have to buy a bunch of songs that I already own dozens of times over, yet again. Does U2 realise that I already own Where...

    New Band (early U2ish)

My band The 45 Rebellion have recently started recording and gigging. www.myspace.com/the45rebellion One of our influences is early U2, which you can hear primarily on songs like European Girls and perhaps Everest. Any comments welcome!

    Cardiff last night...

I was at the tip of Edge's catwalk, with the tallest guy in the world standing directly in front of me. Tallest guy in the world - are you here?

    (06-26-2005) Glastonbury Snub for U2 -- NME*

I think it looks bad on U2. They're a professional band - why are they afraid of how they look with BBC cameras on them? What have they got to hide? U2 would ROCK Glastonbury. They would win over thousands on stiff NME types and go on to rule the world (well, Britain, anyway). I am...

    starting/finishing times?

Does anyone know what time (roughly) U2 enter and leave the stage?

The official "Quit Playing This Damn Song!" thread

New Years Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Pride can all naff off as far as I'm concerned.

    Melon Cassette

Hello, I have a cassette version of Melon. It looks and plays like a genuine cassette but it doesn't appear on U2wanderer's discography and I can't find it mentioned anywhere else. It appears to be on the "Live Tribe" label. Could anybody shed any light on whether this is a real copy or...

MERGED->please drop Bullet and Elevation!+already bored this tour

I full support this thread. Bullet, New Years Day and Sunday Bloody Sunday have been played WAY too many times. And Elevation is pap.
  17. B

What 1 song do you want dropped from the setlist?

I don't think they need to play Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Years Day, Pride or Bullet The Blue Sky ever again. THEY'VE BEEN PLAYED FOR TOO LONG!!! CHANGE THE RECORD!

Fan Reaction: Problems With New U2.com Memberships*

I think that the sheer fact that we have to pay to get to most of the info on the U2 site - especially when they expect us also to fork out hundreds of pounds for those "new" tracks on the Complete U2 - is bollocks. Haven't we given them enought money already? "About £500 each", according to...

    Something weird about ABOY live...

Live U2 songs where extra guitars are added: BULLET THE BLUE SKY (the chiming guitar on the chorus whilst Edge does his funky bit) ONE (besides Edge and Bono there is another guitar playing the bluesy notes pretty much all the way through) ELEVATION (a 12-string acoustic guitar playing the...

    Crumbs = Walk on Pt. 2 ?

Actually the chord sequences are exactly the same at one point. Em - G - D - A This chord sequence is used in the "All that you measure...." bit of Walk On. Exactly the same chord sequence is used in the chorus and middle eight of "Crumbs From Your Table". You can actually sing one part over...

    Fire, Wire, or Desire?

Wire is amazing, yet one of the most under-rated songs in the u2 canon.
