    Sound problems

One thing I have to say about the whole thing is sound problem or not this was the best U2 gig I have ever been too. Whenever my next gig will be I will be queing all day to get near the front cos it was awesome. There is no other way to see the band you love than to be standing with loads of...

August 20th Don Valley Stadium Sheffield - UK

It does sort of make a bit of a mockery of the whole 360 thing when 80% of the show they stand in standard concert position facing the front. I still think the stage should have been in the centre of the field and rotating then it would have been a true 360 conset. Personally it didnt bother me...

The Unforgettable Fire at Sheffield Don Valley

I never thought I would hear them play this song it was amazing. Ultraviolet pushed it close though the new intro to that is

August 20th Don Valley Stadium Sheffield - UK

It took the same time to get back from Sheffield as it did from Glasgow when sheffield is an hour closer to home. We also had a 30 minute walk to the car park to contend with :hmm: Glasgow was unbelieveble considering there was a major football match on at Celtic park. We were out of the pit at...

    Sound problems

Glad to hear someone could hear sound coming from the amps during the silence. I was convincing myself that had Edge has such Zen like abbilities that he could play in total silence and still be in perfect time when the sound cam back on. Which lest face it he probably could

    Sound problems

Something occured to me yesterday while travelling down to Sheffield. I was mulling over the sound problems that happened at Glsagow and remembering what happened. Being on the back rail of the pit I was very very close to the stage so when the sound went of I could still hear certain things...

August 20th Don Valley Stadium Sheffield - UK

having been to Glasgow a couple of days earlier and been in the pit I was looking forward to this show to see what it looked like from the seats. The stage show, lights imagery etc are fantastic and it never ceases to amaze me how people keep coming up with new ideas for enhancing the concert...

August 18th, Hampden Park Glasgow-SCOTLANDI Posted About 360 Being the New Pop Tour

Fact :-All professional bands use in ear monitors. Fact:-When using in ear monitors all you can hear is the mix of the band in your ears. Fact:-The band mix will still have been coming through the in ear monitors or they would have stopped or been terribly out of time. Fact:-The band did not...

August 18th, Hampden Park Glasgow-SCOTLANDI Posted About 360 Being the New Pop Tour

Fantastic gig I was totally blown away. I was in the pit against the back rail centre stage. This was the best concert position I have ever had. Seeing the band from in the pit is a totally insane experience. The show is called 360 degrees, I think that is because your head needs to swivel...

    Bono's vocal on One

I agree with lots of posts on this. One is a very difficult song to get anywhere near as good as the original studio version. Some one said on here after the kcuf up in Barcelona that any idiot with hands could play One. I think not !!! The intro alone is very difficult to get right. I have...

    Close up pictures

I have been looking at some pictures of the Millan 1 show and there are some cool ones of the claw in all its finery all lit up etc. Does any one else think the close up photos of the band look a little dull? By that I mean 4 band members on stage with nothing behind them but blackness. Im...

    So...everybody...

As Axver says its a given. Venue will be limited by choice to those with multiple nights. That leaves San Siro Stade De France Amsterdam Arena Croke Park Ullevi Stadium Gothenburg Stadium Makismer Wembley Amerca Soldier Field Chicago Rogers Centre Toronto Gillette Stadium Boston Giants...

MERGED - > Opening night issues/ Bono's Outburst - What do you make of this?

I have watched this on U Tube it looks excruciating but. If you watch Bono he is holding his in ear monitors which to me suggests that he couldnt hear where he was in the song. Until he asked the band to go back it was fine. I dont think for one second the band forgot how to play the song...

    Farewell thread

Well Im out of here! Just come in to go on to The Claw thread and seen Barcelona rehearsal(spoiler) Dont mind seeing pics of the stage as we all new pretty much what it was like from the 3d images on U2.com I dont want to see any visuals or know anything about setlists at all. On the Vertigo...

    The CLAW - Part. 2

Got to say the 3d visuals of this thing do not do it justice at all it looks awesome. Just a thought about the whole moving around the stage thing. Edge uses and operates effects continualy through the show. He also does a lot of backing vocals. This will mean I think! More times when Dallas...

    Length of show?

All the concerts I have ever been to indoor & outdoor have never started before 9.00pm. I think the only ones that will get an 8.30 start are the ones with a 10.30 curfew. All others will be 9pm start

    This is puzzling (& irritating)

I have a spare one for Glasgow it is possible I may have to try and sell it and I am not confident. There is deffinately not as much hype and interest in this tour as the last one. Mind on saying that I was going to see madonna with my wife at Wembley last year and we had to cancel a week...

    Tour Visual Theme

I have been thinking about previous tours and how there has been a strong visual link between album artwork and the following tour on a lot of U2's tours. Joshua>Tree ZooTv>Trabant Popmart> Arch Elevation> Heart Vertigo>Target I wonder what visual link there will be this time. Any ideas?

songs u would take a beer or pee break

None When you only see the band you love once every 4-5 year you dont go to the toilet. I would rather piss myself!

    To my fellow UKers/Irish folk.

Uk Shows & Tickets Firstly has anyone received tickets for Glasgow yet? I have friends who have received tickets for Sheffield but as yet my Hampden ones have not arrived. I know its early days but just thought I would ask. Is anyone else supprised that tickets are still available for...

    Which staples should be dropped?

Interesting and predictable stats there. My thoughts are U2 are so intent on not becoming a greatest hits touring band by releasing new albums that are a still relevant in the time that they are released. However, if you take away the current album songs on each tour that is exactly what you...

    Moment of Surrender & streets

I will be amazed if Moment Of Surrender is not played before streets. It has the same organ chord progression as the streets intro and would blend perfectly Well I suppose anything will be perfect compared to the lame Pride Streets combo from the Vertigo tour. I would rather not hear them Play...

What HTDAAB Songs will they play this tour?

They can put them all in a can marked never open again as far as i'm concerned. I thought the whole Vertigo tour was quite lame so the less they play of it the better. Vertigo will be played without a doubt! COBL next most probable Personally If they do any I would like to see them rework...

    Credit where credit is due

After the debacle that was the presale for Vertigo, where it took me all day to get my tickets and yet got another set first attempt when they went on general release the next day. I would like to say thanks to theose who have made the whole expereience a lot less frustrating this time. I got...
