Mine, is my very own, custom built from scratch a Telecaster. I replicated this a little after I saw Bono's on tour and I am currently working on a true hallow body with bigsby in it.

I have not seen anything of Bono playing Acoustic during 2011, keep in mind that they really geared the show towards a anniversary of Achtung, even before Glastunbury it was shaping up that direction, more of a greatest hits not so much promoting NLOTH.

IMO, if you listen closely to 'The Fly' in Glastunbury, he has got some real solo sounding mix going on when Edge is doing the Solo part of that song, the sustain is very long. This sound is what interest me, as always even Bono has a unique sound... I really love that Custom Fender he is...

The discussions are very interesting in this forum. It seems to be all about The Edge, Larry or Adam. I haven't seen to much regarding hitting the sweet spots for Bono. :hmm: Singers are naturally insecure people, but that's why we sing. We never openly admit that to anybody but it is true...

Thanks for the response. I'll be a little more specific.. Is he using a Vox amp still? And pedals sounded a whole different sound. or, maybe the telecaster made THAT big of a difference. To me, he needs to retire the Falcon and bring back some rock roots he's done in the past and hearing that...
