For me it's a total toss up as to whether it'll look a lot like the US/Europe shows, or whether they'll redesign it to incorporate a decent amount of SoI/SoE. I'm an optimist, & hoping for the latter.
You're right, the tickets are too expensive. But this is the way the concert industry operates nowadays. It's called "dynamic pricing". Hoping to sell out the intial show quite quickly. But keeping prices high initially, trying to eek out every dollar profit that's possible, selling out not long...
Yawn
FYI, for anyone that doesn't take a ticket for Melbourne 1, there's just been a ticket drop. Seats & GA available.

I guess this means the rumoured logistical issues have been sorted, & we may see an announcement for...
I spend much more time over on U2Start. Like here, there's lots of knowledgeable fans who are passionate about the band. They're based in Europe, but have members from all over. I'd say they are much more interested in a tour happening on far flung shores, some of their mods will be travelling a...
Same goes with Brisbane. That's Brisbn, not Brisbaaaane!
Emma gets it.

The American does not! Thumbs down to that video!

Come on Americans, you can do this! I can say Birmingm when I'm in the UK, & Birmingham when I'm in the US...
The seating plan looks like they're selling just over half the stadium (which is symmetrical), so I'd say over 28,000 capacity. Add the GA on that pretty large field & we're well over 30,000.
Can't fill the field totally, as GA on the sides will have a horrible view. The field is very wide, end...
It's actually cheaper than I expected. Significantly cheaper than Japan, which is a little unexpected to me (after comparing a few other acts, to determine where I wanted to travel to).
GA's in Singapore are 137 USD (compared to 183 USD in Japan, & 91 USD in Oz).
RZ's in Singapore are 430 USD...
Yeah, it's certainly a weird system. It's the reason I got a u2.com membership for the first time in years. Wanted to get in early & get my tickets before the general sale lottery craziness began. I go GA, but for those in seats, you have absolutely know idea where you'll be seated, other than...
Who knows what demand is like in Japan & Seoul. With the weird lottery system Japan general sales aren't until July, so they couldn't wait until then, & had to lock-in the second Japan show. Seoul is the smallest venue on the tour I believe. A totally weird layout, inside a baseball arena, where...
It's even more fucked that for both Sydney & Melbourne at least, there aren't even any Cat 4 seats (only GA). You either pay $60 or $190 plus, nothing in between
Yeah Sydney GA's sold out, but it did take a long time, over 8 hours. Last time I checked Brisbane this morning, you could still pull up 4 GA's, that's 20 hours into the presale! I guess the presales aren't well publicised, & who knows how big the ticket allocations are for GA.
It certainly does. Hopefully it won't just be a rehash of the JT30 setlist, & they can morph it to include some of the highlights of the two recent arena tours.
