Norman, Houston, Dallas - PreSale & General Sale Discussion Thread

Is U2.com ever going to send us an email with details about tomorrow's pre-sales? A friend of mine has gotten emails about pre-sales for OU season ticket holders and Ford Center patrons that take place at noon tomorrow, but I would presume that those of us in the Horizon group have earlier...

The (RED) Thread - Discuss Products Only! (#2)

Delurking for a minute... I really can't imagine the regular Edun line being sold at Wal Mart. I will say that for those who like Edun, but aren't independently wealthy (and who is nowadays), the line is a bit more accessible to mere mortals than when it first launched. On the website they...

Coldplay - Viva La Vida... Continued Discussion

I have tickets for the Oklahoma City show that was moved to November. I'm not thrilled. Who knows what the weather will be like in mid-November. I've braved blizzards and icestorms for U2, but my enthusiasm for Coldplay isn't quite at that level. I'm not buying the "production delays" excuse...

Ali Hewson: ethics girl ...Great article!

That was one of my points, really. I understand that a small company that uses organic materials and practices fair trade policies will necessarily have higher prices. I do think that Nude and Edun could be priced lower and still have a reasonable profit. Perhaps I have chosen the wrong words...

I do understand about it being a small company. Perhaps if Edun and Nude are successful she might be encouraged to put out more reasonably priced products for the masses. In fashion this seems to be a trend of late, with Vera Wang and Nicole Miller designing for Kohl's and JCPenney...

Well, I do understand that Edun and Nude are for profit, as they should be. I just feel that in the case of Nude, for example, $100 for a 1 ounce moisturizer is beyond the budget of a lot of people, including myself. I'd go through a 1 ounce moisturizer in about a month or so. Origins has a...

The strange thing is that the Edun tees are in the $50-$60 range, while Edun Live tees can be purchased on Zazzle.com for about 25 bucks. I have a couple of Edun tees (pretty much the only thing I can sort of afford from Edun) and a few Edun Live tees, and I actually think the Edun Live tees...

Sorry, airbrushed. I was just talking to somebody about photoshopping pictures and I guess I had that word stuck in my head. I've lurked here for a long time, but I guess this is the first time I've felt compelled to post. It really bummed me out to look at that website and see that as with...

Ali Hewson: ethics girl ...Great article!

No offense to Ali, but that photo is obviously photoshopped. In other closeup photographs she clearly has the lines and wrinkles that you would expect of someone her age. There's only so much that any skincare product can do to prevent the aging process. I looked at the Nude website and...
