The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

From the breakfast bar
Comes a donut hole
You had two sticks of butter
So you could butter your roll
I had biscuits and gravy
That I whipped up myself
And a fresh stack of pancakes
From the box on the shelf

You speak of nooks and crannies
And I need a plate of pastries
I wouldn't eat if I was able
But I'm waiting on the crumbs from your bagel

Don’t look at U2’s Instagram if you want to avoid spoilers. It looks like last night they played

Red Flag Day

I hope the 1st set stays as it is - obviously not counting any swapping they may do over multiple nights. Now that SFS is presumably out of the mix, it flows better.

They need to mix it up a bit in the 2nd half, though...without touching Acrobat.

I'm trying to remember the Shuttlecock version of this, because I have a feeling it was particularly dirty.

Seriously, what the fuck was that. How are U2 at the point that "variation" is "we're gonna move one song two setlist spots later, and drop another one with no replacement".

Well, my three least favorite songs on the album are locks for the rest of the tour, and the songs that have been promoted the most. That leaves 11 new tracks that I really like or love, and as with SOI, most of my favorites aren't seeing the light of day (or inconsistently played).

So this tour really only has one curveball I'm excited about, and the regurgitation of part of I&E even in cities where they just did it 3 years ago isn't very appealing to me. I'm not going to have FOMO over missing like 4 tracks I really want to hear that I haven't seen before.

So yeah, I'm down on this tour. But I care more about the quality of the albums, so whatever, I'll live. Better than being someone who doesn't like their recent music but feels compelled to see them anyway for just a handful of treats.

My friend and I went, and like Headache says, it’s always enjoyable to run around Vegas. As for the show...

It was fine. I love Iris, and I like the first two tracks. Acrobat was badass. My friend (casual fan) and I were super disappointed not to get Red Flag Day, so we just sang it to ourselves in line for a hoodie after the show. We’re discussing it here in the hotel. No regerts, but a little more variety would have been welcome.

Replacing The Good Song on the one night of two Peef goes.
I already have a ticket for night two, and I'm very likely getting one for the first night as well just to avoid this. Also because I only live two miles from where they are playing and it seems silly not to go to both with the savings on transportation costs.

I absolutely cannot wait, at the Philly shows, for
Bono to transform into Macphisto, give his usual speech, and end it with:

Don't believe what you hear, don't believe what you see
Because if you close your eyes, you can feel...
That ONLY LOVE! ONLY LOVE! COULD LEAVE SUCH A MARK!
