Which 'Warhorses' need a timeout from I&E tour (pick 3)

If I could be bothered voting at all, it would probably get picked. There's no reason for that song to have been played, ever, after about 2005.

Disagree.

This is the sound of a tired old favorite coming back from the dead. After some pretty bland versions on Elevation, the 360 arrangement was a real shot in the arm.

The I+E performances have been average. They feel like slower, less inspired versions of what we got on 360.

Alright, well let's say the version as it's been cropping up in this year's performances.

I've been sick of Bullet and Pride for awhile now, but I thought this tour breathed some new life into them, especially Bullet. I voted for Elevation, Desire, and WOWY. I really like Desire, but the version of it the last night in New York felt really lifeless. I would have much rather heard Angel of Harlem.

U2 could never play WOWY again and I'd be totally cool with it. :reject:

Nothing can really compete with the Zootv version of Desire, unfortunately.

"You know somethin'? You're a fucking ugly motherfucker..."

I'm not sure if anyone who voted for Bullet has seen it on this tour, periscope or otherwise. That song does not need a break. It's on a roll.

I find that COBL gets a pretty great reaction at concerts. The "oh you look so beautiful" chorus goes over incredibly well.

I think U2 have enough "crowd pleasers" to set up two somewhat unique shows that anyone would be happy with as long as the core songs are played (Pride, Streets, with or without you).

Essentially, 3 or 4 "core" songs and then 7 or 8 new songs and that leaves you with 1/2 a show that can be switched up with crowd pleasers and even a "one off" slot for rare songs.

I would vote Pride, COBL, I Will Follow.

I think they could alternate Electric Co with OOC and then IWF with Two Hearts or Gloria and give more variation.

I enjoyed the E stage more when they played the unexpected. Lucifer, THB, Ordinary Love, Party Girl, California, IGC, WLCTT. It's two songs. The 80% could live through 2 songs.

I was tired of Bullet but can't get enough of it this tour.

One and I Still Haven't are both really bad, and terrible closers as they are performing them right now. Rest them both. I would like see One (if played) be played earlier in the set with the Hear us Coming bit and/or unchained melody. Right now it is the epitome of going through the motions.

COBL, MW, and EBTTRT all need to be rotated. None of those should be played every night. The reboot of Real Thing was a nice change on 360, but the version is growing old. Elevation has sucked for a long time now, but at least its not being played every night.

I may be in the minority but I still think wowoy is still a highlight and along with Streets and Bad should be played at every show.

I wish they dropped With Or Without You after Zoo TV. It has become a parody of itself ever since.

WOWY is the best since ZooTv

You might be right but that really isn't saying much.

Since PopMart, I've always gotten the feeling that they play it only because it's their biggest hit but really aren't interested in it save for a few performances here and there.

Rattle and Hum was my first glimpse into this song live and that performance/version has never been topped IMO. Although I do really like the Live from Milan version on the U218 CD as the Edge was on point!!! Unfortunately, Bono's voice was shot.

Some of their warhorses sound as fresh as ever, they'd be crazy to drop IWF, Pride, Bullet or UTEOTW on this tour.

I agree One and Still Haven't Found lack spark but that is not only due to the setlist position but also Bono's lazy sing-along.

I am equally happy with WOWY on this tour (which definitely has not been the case the past two tours).

They are clearly enjoying themselves out their on this tour and IMO (no, not a song!) you can tell. I was blown away how timeless IWF sounded in New York.

I really don't get the calling of the sing along versions of One and Still Haven't Found as being "lazy"

Springsteen does it for Hungry Heart. Pearl Jam does it for Better Man. I don't really think you'd call those acts lazy in anyway. It's just a bit if theatrics. If you don't like it, fine... but I don't see in anyway how it's "lazy"

Lazy would be to just not play a song at all
