On the SFS Hutchy says 'Dangerfield leaving is a foregone conclusion' or thereabouts to Sam Jacobs' face during an interview. An utter fucking disgrace. The Vic media's conduct re: Dangerfield this year has been nothing short of farcical, wholly disrespectful, especially with the events the club has had to deal with this year. It would be a great result for the game if he signed for another several years - so that balding slob can fuck off to his cave.

Hutchy is a fucking grub, but the speculation surrounding Dangerfield has really been nothing compared to that of Ablett or Buddy.

Channel 7 have found an actual commentator today! Too bad he'll get kicked out once inane Basil comes back from Kazan.

North may still try to give up good leads to subpar teams, but it seems they've now figured out how to wrest back control and hold on through to the end.

And I'm pleasantly surprised that Essendon have started well against GWS.

Do the Bombers just not practice how to kick straight or something?

Oh dear here we go now this is turning out how I expected. And this is annoyingly low scoring. But at least the commentary's better than usual.

My pleasant surprise of the first quarter has now turned to disgust. We've completely coughed this game up. We're yet to double our quarter time score, and that's in no small part to pathetic inaccuracy. But even if we were kicking a bit straighter I don't see us staying in the game because GWS have kicked into a high gear we no longer seem to have. :sigh:

I can't help but feel like WADA's appeal was the final straw. The team actually seemed to have their shit together at the start of the year - hell, we beat Hawthorn! It had been a rotten couple of years but there appeared to be a light at the end of the tunnel, and then those fuckwits came along and proved the light was in fact that of a freight train.

I really don't know what WADA think they're achieving here by dragging this out, wrecking the club, wrecking innocent careers, and ultimately tarnishing the competition by association and by reducing the competitiveness of one of the biggest clubs.

I'm absolutely livid about this whole affair and everyone involved except the players, yet it's the players who have copped and will continue to cop this the hardest. I don't see how that's any bit fair.

Well at least we're not the only ones doing it. Cheers Collingwood.

If he loves the club like he says, and not just himself, he will leave and make himself scarce from football for a long time. The damage might almost be irreparable.

It's inevitable, you could see it in his face. It will be better for the club in the long run the sooner he leaves. He's going to get similar uncompetitive results for the remaining matches, at least with a caretaker players' performances do improve to some degree temporarily, and it's probably more effective in determining who's up to it and who isn't.

I'm just really happy we've managed such a substantial % boost, especially after the Saints dropped a decent lead against North.

I watched up until three-quarter time and then I turned off. Fucking hell. Looks like I definitely didn't want to see that final quarter.

I can't wait to see the back of Hird. I feel like this team's potential is there - we keep getting these glimpses of talent, especially first quarters like today that offer a cruel glimmer of hope that is quickly stomped out. But we sure as shit aren't going to realise any of that potential under the current circumstances. I really don't see how Hird's position remains tenable.

Oh well, at least we're not playing the Wooden Spoon Cup tonight.

Watching the delayed telecast of the Port/GWS game. In the first quarter there have been about 5 50m penalties. One was a double 50m penalty that took the Giants from defence to 30m from goal, Port got two more 50m in front of goal and sprayed both of them. Entertaining match, there's literally NO discipline on either team.

Oh yeah, and Palmer fumbled the ball strolling into an open goal, and he had a teammate right by him ... Peak AFL comedy.

John Butcher made his return and shanked a set shot from 40m that only went about 30m. Incredible.

Now there's a massive melee as Dwayne gets excited, camera pans to lone GWS player strolling into the goal square.

We always look more impressive in the first quarter too...

...because matches start 0-0.

Just got in from a gig - did Brisbane turn it on for the Wooden Spoon Cup, or...? I really didn't expect them to paste the Blues in such fashion.

Will still be a battle of the percentages to see who comes last though. And they both have Hawthorn to come, oh dear.

How you feeling about this Bledisloe Cup match Ax?

Sent from my iPhone using U2 Interference

Much better than I feel about my stupid fucking footy team!

Great day for women's sport today. First televised women's footy game, then the Netball World Cup final. Though I think I'll miss most of the latter, bah.

Ah that sucks.

I had Carlton fans on my feed saying "can we at least try to hide the fact we're tanking?"

Where are all your Bledisloe Cup posts Ax?!

Glad this Women's Game is being televised. Who's watching? It's better than people think when they first see it.

Hah was out last night so wasn't posting. But it was nice of the Wallabies to play us into form.

Been enjoying this women's game so far. The Dees look noticeably superior to the Dogs early.
