Not terribly jazzed about these pedestrian numbers. OSC, Playboy, One Step Closer, RTSS. Maybe they're trying them out.

I want some brooding darkness Exit, God Part II

So which other album songs have they never played live at a show before?

It seems as though as though they decided to play those now and get it over and done with. LOL

Heartland
Acrobat
Some Days are Better than Others
Playboy Mansion
When I look at the World
AMAAW ( once in a non-concert setting )
Fez-Being Born
White as Snow
Stand Up Comedy
Cedars of Lebanon

Have they ever played Tomorrow and Like A sOng?

Have they ever played Tomorrow and Like A sOng?

Tomorrow was a regular during the first few months of the War Tour, having previously been played three times on the October Tour. Like A Song was played just once, at the opening night of War's first leg on 26 February 1983.

Thank you, U2FanPeter!!

This is excellent information and I for one appreciate the hard work that goes into this!

My general wish list is this:

1.) Early rockers: always welcome with me! They could play I Will Follow every night, and if played like it was in 2011, I'd be thrilled. Out of Control, Twilight, An Cat Dubh, Another Time Another Place, Electric Co, 11 O' Clock Tick Tock, Gloria, Rejoice, Like A Song, Surrender, 2 Hearts. Almost anything, have at it! This part of the catalog has been very under represented for many years now!

2.) JT over AB- Of course, they're equally as good. In my mind, one never has anything over the other. They're both perfect for different reasons. However, JT album tracks have sat out too long! RTSS left too soon on Vertigo for Miss Sarajevo. Mothers of The Disappeared has shown up sporadically and that's about it. The big 3 will always be there, but we could more than use a reinvigorated Bullet/Running along with Exit, In God's Country, Trip Through Your Wires and a more frequent One Tree Hill. AB should only have "One" (see what I did there:lol:) lock for the set every night. Work plenty of tracks in, but they can rotate: MW, Even Better, UTTEOTW are always welcome. Maybe lean toward Even Better. Bring back Wild Horses as a regular rotator, use Trying To Throw as a mid set rotator and work in Acrobat and LIB a little bit. It's JT that needs some serious album track staples this time out!

3.) Rotate and do as much of the catalog as possible.

This is all well and good, but where are the uptempo songs?? ACROBAT!
GOD PART 2!

2 HEARTS!

I agree 100%, but we need to remember it's early yet. We're still weeks away and they're just getting comfortable. Looked at in that context, they've done a hell of a lot.

The list of songs they're getting ready for now is, of course, not an exhaustive list of what we're getting for the tour. It's merely what they're trying out for the first couple of shows of the first leg of a tour that will feature multiple nights in each city. We all know they're no Pearl Jam or Bruce, but just look at all the different songs played on the last 2 tours and they didn't even make it a thing to change up the set that much! This time, they are publicly stating their intent to shake it up. They know their own history, so they know that doesn't mean just playing "Stay" one night and "Stuck" the next.

I'm thrilled that Even Better is still in the running! Best opener I've seen by far, it hasn't been overplayed and it always blows the place away!

Desire finally looks like it has a chance of not being played in that horrible acoustic format they've been in love with for 20 years. They can play that anytime if it's done Lovetown or Zoo TV style. Leave the stripped down version to the off tour, Clinton foundation type shows!

Running To Standstill, Bad and Electric Co are all spectacular live.

And though Playboy Mansion isn't my first choice, it's a sign that nothing is off limits for consideration!:up:

So what I'm trying to say is good news, with more sure to come!

A pretty decent bootleg of Like A Song... live is available. I honestly don't get why it wasn't played more, it sounded awesome live!

I think I would prefer a shorter show than putting up with Playboy Mansion.
Though I'm sure the final bit will work fine especially in a live setting, the nonsense leading up to it is more likely to detract than add to my concert experience.

couple unique updates for tonight.

-Mysterious Ways was done in full - no slide solo which is begging to return
-Ordinary Love - Bono voice and Edge Acoustic
-Pride had a mid song Supremes(Stop In name of Love) snippet: "Before you break my heart, before you break my heart" which may be Bono goofing a bit.
-Streets

I think I know 3 sets of songs "paired up" with transitions. I also think I know which new song will be the opener and which will be the main set closer. We'll see how that plays out in the next week.

Still no guitar other than Edge that I can hear.

Saw Rocko Ready smoking outside.

Mansion and Standstill are the coolest things I've heard so far. Everything else was just......expected.

Bloody hell guys, it's not Mysterious Ways if it doesn't have the slide solo.

And I was starting to wonder where Streets had got to...

I was pretty thorough with my bootleg collecting back in the day, but I don't think I've ever heard it...

EBTTRT? Again? Ugh. I love the song, and Achtung Baby, but enough with the 90's revival already. How about more Joshua Tree?

Thanks again for all the great info Peter. Great to be able to come here and read reports we actually can trust. Opening night is going to be blast...even it's not such a big surprise. ;)

Sorry I don't doubt the source here but I am having a hard time trusting this, maybe a pic of you at the venue or something?

He isn't one of our usual "I know people" trolls. He's provided set list information in the past, and it's all proven accurate.

And besides... it's not as if he's getting this info from an inside source. He's just standing outside the arena.

This, and that he's been a regular here for years, if he'd just signed up and posted this stuff I doubt many would believe him.

Sure we have no way of 100% knowing if he speaks the truth, but if anyone's gonna post stuff, I'll trust him on this.
