Guys , this idea just came into my mind... And I'm exited about it.

Was thinking of hosting a small online U2 I+E photo competition on this board.
I don't know if this is allowed on here but here's the plan :


If this is gonna be the last U2 tour we're gonna need some awesome pictures to remember it right? I know most U2 fans love to take pics of the band , the stage, the crew, etc.
Most people are going to take a camera or even a phone to their U2 show. Even if you are not heavilly into photography.

I'm aiming for all people : those with phones, point n shoots, superzooms and even the lucky prickspeople who get to sneak in a DSLR.

I'll make a thread to explain all the rules, and I'll keep track of the photo's that where send in for entering the mini contest.

Each IF member can send in 1 photo in each category I come up with.
If the response is big then only 1 pic per person.

I.E. a category for Each band member, full band , crowd interaction, funny , stage , crew members etc.

After the first two legs, or after the tour I wanna start listing the nominated photo's per category.

And start polls so interferencers can start voting for the winners of each category. This is all in good fun and to admire each other pictures. Also the winners of each category will have eternal fame and will win a fun prize that I'll send to them for entering and winning. .

Is this lame?

Hence the Lemonade stand would maybe be an option too... Since the photographers union thread is there as well.
Or the gaming forum ... Again think I would need to contact a mod if they'll be fine with it, and where it would go.

I'm SO happy for all of you getting tickets and going to shows! The only midwest U.S. shows are in Chicago, right before I'm leaving for Ireland, and then during the time I'm in Ireland. I just KNEW this was gonna happen. This Ireland trip is a specific time, put together for our local Irish pub, so there is not an option to change dates. I just hope that after the European leg of the tour, they'll come back to the U.S. and do some shows in the midwest or southeast U.S.

Haven't had the chance to get tickets for one of the Chicago shows because I was busy when they came out and I don't have enough money to pay for them right now (next time I get paid is Christmas Eve and I have save the majority of that for Christmas Gifts).

Yeah I was only able to buy for Chicago2, rather than 1 and 2, due to the lack of funds. Hoping to either find a set for the 24th through interference or wait for prices on those horrible resale sites to drop. No way in hell am I paying $100+ for the $30 nosebleed seats. I've seen them drop to $70 just this week so I know they'll fall further. Would love to see you in Chicago if you can find tix! We'll be there the 25th for sure!
