SOI Promotional Apearances

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
But... it was only half of U2.

Yep, it was only a "U" ... its missing the other 2  (Larry and Adam)

OK, enough of the cheap jokes , did anyone record the sound?
I was not able to record it.
I will have to wait until someone posts it
on Youtube and then convert it to MP3-320.

It would be nice to have the first couple of LIVE performances of
the new songs put into a CD to listen.

Great chemistry, great versions of both songs, very powerful and passionate. I understand Bono's voice is cracking towards the end of EBW, it must be a hell of a job singing like that, but if he tuned it down, it might not have this kind of power. I loved it

He voice was very shaky and bit hoarse even in the beginning of the song, probaly a little cold combined with nervousness.
Lets not forget that his voice is almost always like this on the promo-tours... :)

If you have an account at a U2 forum and don't love that EBW performance, then I have to question whether you have a pulse.

The owls are not what they seem.

Yeah, I agree. Sure, a little bit of voice trouble, but his delivery sent shivers down my spine...

It wouldnt surprise me if all the promos were done like this. At the end of the day 26 million people have the full band version, now their trying to get people to buy something they havent got which is the 2nd deluxe disc.

Doubtful. Adam said in an interview with Dublin's 98FM that the entire band was in France rehearsing for promos.

Just caught up on both of the performances... damn! EBW was beautiful, hopefully Bono gets his voice sorted out soon enough but I really enjoyed it. And then Miracle came out of nowhere and really surprised me, especially when the audience came right in singing the "oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh oh oh oh oh" bits, surely they practiced that beforehand!?

Either way it was cool to see and I hope they nail down the full-band version more than they did at the Apple show.

When is the next performance?

I like piano EBW (and 2010 EBW) so much more than album EBW.
