Christmas to me has always been: wake up, open a few presents, have breakfast, open the rest of the presents, eat a shitload (and, once I was a teenager, drink even more than a shitload), play cricket in the backyard if a backyard was available, fall into a food coma, and wake up the next day in time for the first ball of the Boxing Day Test. Thanks to having a family scattered all around Australia and New Zealand, I've struggled to maintain most traditions on an annual basis, but the one tradition I've successfully kept no matter where I am in the world is watching the first over of the Test.
The idea of going to church - or doing anything religious whatsoever - on Christmas seems totally alien to me. It's always been a totally secularised festival of family, friends, food, and conspicuous consumption to me.
