He is good looking but his character on Downton Abbey is such a douche that it is hard to appreciate his looks.
Dan Stevens, the actor who plays Matthew, on the other hand is good eye candy. I strangely liked it during the first episode of this season where he said to Lady Mary, "Come and kiss me". It was said in a commanding tone, but for some reason, I liked it. Don't ask.

Ah, I see. Yeah, that would put a damper on things, indeed. I'm with you, I definitely have to like the characters the actors I crush on are playing as well.
*Looks up Dan Stevens* Ooh, he ain't bad. Only a couple years older than me (and hey, his birthday's in October! Woo!). May have to check out clips with him then or something (and let's hear it for hot guys named Matthew, whether that's their real name or the name of a character
!). I can see why you'd like that. Sometimes in the right circumstance a commanding tone is rather sexy-it's kinda nice when a guy just comes right out and tells you what he wants.
