Picks with proper reseeding and all, total Vancouver goals listed at the end for the winner. That's my pool entry. Let's see if I get humiliated or I get rich.

Burke's reaction when Toronto got the fifth pick was priceless. PRICELESS!

It's not a deep draft, but I'm comfortable with Montreal at the number 3. I wasn't all that impressed with Grigorenko last night, and I had a pretty good look at him as I was literally right next to the team bench. I know it's one game, and the kid does have lots of talent, so we'll see. I would, however, prefer that the Habs draft Filip Forsberg or Alex Galchenyuk.

I don't mind Burke I just wish he wouldn't be so bombastic and shut up once and a while. His three biggest flaws imo are:

1. He makes statements and says shit that he really shouldn't be sharing with the Toronto media - and he keeps doing it, even though he should know better.

2. He over rates players especially the ones he has and this means he cannot seem to make any good free agent signings. Most of his trades are great but other than Mcarthur, every other FA has been a bust.

3. He is way to stubborn and impatient for his own good.

So the other day, Bryzgalov said he's not afraid of the playoffs, and the only thing he's afraid of is a bear in the woods. So tonight there are a bunch of Pens fans in bear costumes.

I love playoff hockey.

Even if the Flyers don't win this series, I really like this team.

You should. They almost completely retooled last summer and, as a result, are one of the youngest teams in these playoffs. There's a stat that was mentioned during the game that was interesting: the Flyers, as a team, were at or near the top in terms of goals by rookies this year with, I think, more than 40. Comparatively, the Penguins had one goal by a rookie, who's now back in the minors.

Also, the young players they got last summer played a huge role in this first game. Schenn with a goal and two assists, and Voracek with the OT winner.

I think the Flyers are the top team in rookie goals by a good margin. Schenn, Read, Cooter, Wellwood, Bourdon and Rinaldo are all rookies. But it's more about their resiliency. They come back often, and they have to with the shitty way they open games.

Now excuse me while I go dance to Mac Miller like an idiot.

So happy the Flyers won.

Taking game 1... in Pittsburgh... vital. Good start to my pool. Nashville win, also a good start.

$400 on in the pot!

Luongo was awesome tonight. Quick even better. I lost count of the penalties we gave away in the second period.

Powerplay didn't score again but made a few chances. Kings D was tight. Gotta win on Friday.

There is nothing like experiencing this playoff series in a town totally split between the two teams. I stepped out on my balcony right after Voracek's goal and the noise was unbelievable.

I am in the unenviable position of having to root for Van because I have them in my pool - I don't think they'll win but their players tend to accumulate points and in the format of this pool, it matters. Otherwise I have never liked this team, don't like Luongo, and frankly would be pleased to see them make an early exit.

Great Pittsburgh-Philly game last night!

I, too, have to root for Vancouver because I have them in my pool.

But I don't understand the complete animosity towards them at the moment...

I've never liked them.

I wouldn't even root for them as a "Canadian" team. In fact, I'd root for every other "Canadian" team before them.

I'd never root for any team because they're 'American' or 'Southern' or 'from Florida'.

I don't know why Canada would back another Canadian team. There should be more animosity among Canadians towards other Canadian teams. Especially during the playoffs!

Yeah and when oh... Ottawa wins the cup (lol).... and those fans are rubbing the last place Canadiens fans in it... you'll regret it!
