True. I'm glad my tweeness only last a about 6 months, instead of ya know... longer.

LOL. 6 months? Wow. That's short compared to mine!

:hmm: Doctor outfit, you say?

Nah. I like men in uniform. :shifty: *inadvertently explained why she loves action movies*

Hehehe, ooh, that's a good choice *Thinks of Simon Pegg as a cop in 'Hot Fuzz'*.

Yeah. That's a VERY good choice . Though your uniform of choice might be different from mine...

I managed to stay awake until the end of the game, and am definitely going to bed now.

But before I go, I wanted to ask for prayers/good energy/positive vibes/good thoughts/anything else positive you can send this way for my aunt. Tomorrow morning she's having her double mastectomy. She's the one who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer just a few days before I was laid off this summer. She's been doing great with chemo, but this is the next step for her. The surgery starts fairly early PST tomorrow. Would appreciate anything positive you can send her way. She's feeling hopeful that it will go well, but of course any kind of surgery is understandably scary.

Thanks!

Ohmygoodness. That's an awkward 70s photo, isn't it. I love those to death

(I do enjoy my bad fashion a bit much though )

I came across a picture of my mom and her sisters with ridiculous 80s perms a while back...it was hilarious...I'm like, your hair isn't curly—oh. And all the perms matched, too :giggle:

Comet, definitely sending on good thoughts and vibes to your aunt. I'm glad the chemo treatments have been going well and everything, but surgeries, no matter how necessary, are still a scary thing. May all go well with it and may she continue on her path back to good health :).

Good night! Sleep well!

I was never really the kid who followed the crowd... tried to (hence the tween phase), but it bored me. I preferred to make my own style. And to like classic rock. :shifty:

:) Here's to following your own beat.

I genuinely did/do like some of the "tween" stuff, but I don't really recall ever doing it to try and "fit in". I just generally tended to like a lot of whatever the hell was on the radio at that time. I remember hearing artists like Beck or Tori Amos and liking the songs from them as much as I did the Backstreet Boys or the Spice Girls. I did kinda go through a brief "Parents' generation's music is so uncool" phase, but that lasted, like, two seconds. I long, LONG ago freely accepted the fact that I'm not "cool" or "hip" or any of that crap and never will be, so I just don't even try.

Those are excellent choices  . Good night to you, too! Hope you have a more restful sleep tonight now you're getting better.

*Off to watch the video clips shared here*

:eyebrow:

Never thought of it that way before. Interesting...

Liked those videos. The one on Edge was wonderful (EEEEEEEEEI, I will never tire of seeing that old footage from '78 of the band :lmao: :cute:. SO adorable), and that performance from Snow Patrol was quite good, too-I like that song.

I also like what Gary was rambling on about beforehand, too. "No, no, don't come closer. You're a musician, rife with disease...".

yeah, been wondering if theres any youtube channel purely dedicated to the Edge singing and clips of him doin interviews and things :D

or shall PGP make one

Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt poked fun at Arpaio on Twitter, providing what he described as a link to a video feed of the news conference that instead directed readers to the opening credits of "The X-Files," a TV show about paranormal activity.

:lol::lmao::laugh:

 That's great.

Seriously. Why. Is. Anyone. Still. Bringing. That. Shit. Up? Shouldn't that conspiracy have died a cruel death and been eaten up by vultures by now or something?

oh, that sucks, I slipped today too, arse first into a water puddle, but didnt hurt myself, only my dignity

CK, you and your loved ones be careful tomorrow!

They're predicting more severe weather...

Ugh, I know. And of course tonight is the night I have to go to Walgreens to get diapers, laundry detergent, and meds on sale. Sale runs through tomorrow, but hubby is working all day tomorrow because his 'group' at the plant's warehouse got called in for a special Saturday shift (normally the warehouse is closed on weekends). It sounds crazy, but I can't pass up BOGO creams, $2 alka-seltzer, $7 diapers, and $4 laundry soap. :crack:

That's it, I'm looking for a U2 gym boyfriend. With my luck, I'd find Adam Doppelganger. No offense Drea and CK!
You find that, sign ME up for your gym!

This is not U2 related, but I did see someone who could've passed as a celebrity's twin once....

When I was twelve, I got my tonsils out, and I swear the surgeon looked like Adrian Paul. Even my mom says so. :reject:

The reason I got my belly button pierced at 18 is because the guy who did it (he did my cousin's first and I was with her) looked JUST like Johnny Rzeznik from Goo Goo Dolls.
And yes I still have the piercing

Holy crap. Lucius Malfoy is in the new NBC drama. He looks so different. It wasn't until I saw his name that I said, hey....is that the actor that plays Malfoy?

And there is my random thought.

I have HP friends in an LJ comm that are watching Awake JUST because he is in it. (I'm more a Draco girl, myself.)

I always am reminded of this when that crap comes up, lol. :D

I am so freakin embarrassed of our "elected" officials, especially since the only respectable one (Giffords) stepped down.
