You bet you do! Had a bloody marvellous time. He waffled more than Bono but it was actually entertaining (and articulate)... and we got a Vertigo x 2 moment. Except it was You're The Voice, which makes it a billion times better.

I think the title of "Worst Band/Act I've Ever Seen" has now been passed on to some two-person outfit called Warpigs, who produced 15 minutes of excruciating, meaningless noise on Monday night and put me (and Maj.) off the rest of a free gig. Charlotte, you didn't miss anything, except ear damage. The polite applause that any live performer seems to get here has never heard more hesitant or forced.

Other than that, I had a great birthday.

Oh, it's got the latest iTunes now. I honestly think it might've damaged something when it was in my bag in the boot at the mercy of the Rimutaka Hill Road on Sunday, since it was fine beforehand.

I can still listen to stuff - when I have the time! - if I just drag the files onto my laptop and import it straight from the laptop's own hard drive.

Ash, which Husker Du album did you listen to? Candy Apple Grey? New Day Rising? Something else I haven't heard of? LOL. Speaking of music that you enjoy, I was in the mood to listen to The Killers today and was slightly depressed to find that I only had 6 songs of theirs. Most of the ones I have are from Hot Fuzz. Should I follow iTunes' suggestion and complete the album?

Please do complete. In fact, get the deluxe edition, because the three extra songs are more than worth it, two of them being among my top ten favorite songs by the band.

I listened to New Day Rising, which I enjoyed a lot until Travis and I got in a tiff over Super Smash Bros. Unfortunately this coincided with the exact moment that NDR turned into a bit of a noise rock album, and so it was kind of irritating me in that moment. For now I give it a tentative 3/5, because I definitely need to rehear it.
