With regards to the Julia sex scene, I'm bewildered that people seem more angry about the flag being used than an attack on the PM. We've never cared about the flag, why do we now all of a sudden?

Yeah, now there's a storm in a teacup.

Shit flag anyway.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but didn't the actual scene run for next to no time? I could think of far worse/insulting things that could have happened.

I love the show just cause they more so bag the shit out of Tim, what a wanker he is too.

He's a wanker? I genuinely know absolutely nothing about him other than that he's Julia's partner.

He's from shepp and a complete tool. Was here on his own a couple of months back working at his old hairdresser place where he had two security guards

(in fairness it IS shepp )

andberlin - I actually was thinking of someone else I know in Canberra, but glad you survived too! I take it you made your flight okay?

Drug dogs sniff out 42 at Parklife music festival | Herald Sun

Officers said the number of arrests - and an additional 11 ejections - was "really staggering".

Partygoers were caught with cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis.

Acting Inspector Don Brown said despite a huge police presence, youngsters were still "trying to get away with it".

More than 60 uniformed and plainclothes officers and two police dogs patrolled the Sidney Myer Music Bowl throughout the event, which was attended by 17,000 people.

"We have made our presence as big and well publicised as possible. We are right at the entrance to the event, yet people still keep trying to get away with it," Acting Insp Brown said.

"It's really staggering we are getting these arrest numbers and it is worrying because it means youngsters are not listening and if it continues in these large numbers, it will be a terrible summer."

There would have been hundreds, if not thousands of people with drugs at Parklife yesterday. I think it's more "staggering" no one was caught with speed!

If they tested every person at Stereosonic (I think like 100k go?) a very large majority would have drugs. I went with a crew of about 20 last year and we all had drugs on us. (Not trying to brag or whatever there, just saying)

Haha yeah, I saw this. Woah, electronic music fans (or music fans of any description) use DRUGS? Who knew.

Saw an older guy the other week on another forum with the typical "there's been no good music made since my youth" sort of attitude bitching about these "bogan" festivals for "druggies who don't like real music" ... then he listed all his favourite bands and they were classic rock groups from the sixties who were stoned off their faces most of the time. Ahh hypocrisy.

Did I really get away with referring to the Australian flag as "shit" on the first page? Wow. You really are all librul elitist scum.

You're clearly not much of a true STRAAAYAN then!

(Kiwi flag's shit too.)

Our flag would be perfect if a pair of scissors was used to cut out the top left hand corner. Would be a pretty unique, if dysfunctional, design as well. Nepal would have nothing on it.

Haha, though even without the Union Jack, it'd be a pretty boring flag.

Wish New Zealand would just hurry up and change its flag to a silver fern on a black background. I already consider it our national flag and I hate all these attempts to create "other" new flags. I suppose Australia's problem is that there is no readily obvious and widely accepted alternative like New Zealand has.

At least the current Aussie and Kiwi flags don't look as horrible as the Yanks', though. No idea why they think it's a good idea to plaster it everywhere. Now Canada, there's a good flag.

Canada's flag looks great, but I gotta digress and say that I love the stars and stripes. One of my favourite flags that has some pretty logical historical relevance. Just a shame about the colours of those stars and stripes, given they are the same as the Brits.

Seychelles still has the best flag in the world for me. Check it out
