Try to think about why she elbowed him.
Because he was in the spot that she was trying to save for her dad.
Okay, but she didn't have to elbow him, she could have waited for her dad to get there, and let him deal with it. Elbowing someone is incredibly bratty, obnoxious behaviour, and I'm not buying the picture of the poor, young vulnerable kid that you're painting. Not if she's elbowing people.
Yelling at someone for them elbowing you in the ribs is a fairly rational reaction. You are trying to equate this with someone physically pushing someone from a spot in a concert that in their entitled minds, belonged to them, even though the other person had gotten there first. Sorry, not even close.
I really don't think it went: he stands in her dad's spot then she elbows him. Something happened in between.
Based on the reconstruction you put together in your head.I really don't think it went: he stands in her dad's spot then she elbows him. Something happened in between.
What, then? Seems to me you're making a hell of a lot of assumptions, just to make this guy look bad, when what he did was nowhere near as bad as what Vik did.
In my experience, the sort of people who resort to elbowing to get what they want don't generally start with polite requests and then escalate from there.
I you Jive Turkey.
Did you want me to get all defensive because you made fun of my stupid picture?
I think it would be a correct assumption. People just don't start elbowing people in the ribs.
This was posted. I guess you missed what led up to the elbowing (or chose to forget it).The girl to our left had her arms extended.
There was literally more than enough room for 2 people at this spot.
We went for this spot. As soon as I put my hand on the rail I got an elbow to the ribs from this "little girl".
The older woman to the right eventually made room.
The "little girl" was yelling "I'm saving this spot".
She did tell me it was for her dad. I did ask where he was. She didn't answer.
When her dad showed up so did 3 other people... a woman to the right that the older lady was saving a spot for...
a man to the right of her (number 237) and the "little girl's" dad.
So 4 people arrived at the same time.
The girl thought I was pushing her. She elbowed me again, and kept doing it.
I called the security guy over and he told her to quit it. She kept doing it.
He told her to stop or she would be ejected. That's when her father told me she's only 15.
This is the same father/daughter that were 2 spaces to the left of us in Chicago.
They were nice then.
And I'm NOT going to say they weren't nice at Pittsburgh. I will say there was confusion.
I explained to the dad about the other people arriving when he did, and maybe the girl thought I was pushing.
I told him I'm not mad, and it all was due to confusion, and extras that came for "saved spots" at the same time.
He told me he understood.
I did tell him I was sorry if he thought I was pushing.
We actually had a good time beside each other. He left for food, and I told him I'd save his spot.
He came back and offered me a pretzel.
The thing is we were all being pushed in together, and yes, his daughter "stood her ground". But there is no ground
to stand on when that ground is being taken from every direction.
Unless the act of elbowing was a last resort, because come hell or high water this guy was going to push her out of the way.
Your reaction isn't important to me. I was just pointing out that you're an idiot
Wrong. I sat there and watched as a teenage Springer reject came up to the rail spot we had between the opening act and U2, and started kneeing my teenaged daughter in the shoulder and side of the head to try to get her to move. Guess what? I yelled.
So she used every method that her little 15 year old brain could think of, and only then she elbowed? Oh, come ON. You're reaching just to make someone look bad and start shit.
What did I do to you?
That was wrong and you should have yelled.
I don't think that happened in this case. This girl would have been standing holding that spot for her father when this guy comes along all riled up from the line fiasco and tried to take that spot. He saw a girl 'paper dolling' the rail and decided he was going to make his stand.
You don't think that happened in this case based on absolutely nothing.
What did I do to you?
honestly, nothing. I just feel like you're jumping all over this guy for no reason, so I feel the need to defend him....You're probably not an idiot. The whole premise of this thread is ridiculous and he shouldn't have been made to feel like he had to post it
Are you serious?Actually, we are in a group of 150 U2 fans on facebook where this situation was discussed at great length.

I erased that bit by accident when I edited. It's back
(I saw what you had originally posted)
Are you serious?
So HE says. We have no proof of that either!
