Hungry, need to shower and get off my ass and do homework, but generally excited to spend my extra money on shiny stuff

Stuff for Halloween. This year I'm Ziggy Stardust, next year I'm the Fly. :hyper:

Needless to say I'll have to spend some money on some crazy stuff.

Last year, I was going to be Sue Sylvester from Glee. I think I have enough time to do this year.

I need to order my daughter's costume. Last year, I was lame-mommy and running to the store a week before. She had to be a duck - like it not.

I blinked and she was gone....

How's training going? when are your tri's?

Next week, I go to the gym on Wednesdays during lunch for my track work out, I need to get back to it. Aaand I've been saying that for weeks now. What is wrong with me?

Somehow we usually ended up making my costumes at home and my mom ended up being pissed. off. :giggle: You, in comparison, are lucky. You have not been asked to make this:

(no, mine didn't end up being that pretty. It's hard.)

Oh, and Zooey, I love you.

When I get home, I'll have to forward you a link where I found a ton of photos. They were very well organized. Any time I run into a photobucket that is full of love, I save the link. I have a dream that one day Bonocomet will give me the key to her photobucket. Yet, if that were to happen, I might not be seen for days. I'll go days without food, showering or shaving my legs, just constantly connected to my laptop.

Thanks

Yep, Comet definitely wins the picture award

I'm trying to find those pics of Lar with the "Sexico" shirt. Anyone have them?? :sexywink:

Wasn't there a Moobday about it?

I just did a search and came up with nothing conclusive except for the fact that since I wandered in here we've lost a lot of people. I might start taking it personally.

Just found this video. This guy was standing right beside me in Moncton. I can hear myself screaming in this video, and the hand constantly waving in front of the camera is Adge. She was standing right in front of me. Val's in this video too.

Our reaction to when we realize they're gonna play 40 is priceless

Can't believe it's been a month already

Okay, it's been a month. Enough time off for you. Get back to work. :waiting:

I did hear confirmation that they were all going to the Toronto Film Fest. Okay, that confirmation being on EYKIW. See, I DO venture from Pleba once in a great while.

 I want them to finish ASAP!

*is impatient*

I just requested some U2 on the radio so must wait for them to play it...there goes homework for the moment. (I can look up reference in the meantime)

Hola!

Had a great evening out with my mom last night. The big major highway through the area is absolutely fucked UP right now, so the freeway was jammed for miles. For some stupid reason they kept opening and closing lanes at random, so at some points there would be 3 lanes open, then it would close down to two, then one, then be up to three again. :crack: It took us nearly 2 hrs to get home (it should have been less than an hour). :crack:  OY VEY. But it was so worth it, though. :)

How is your aunt doing? I was thinking of her last night. My mother in law is breast cancer survivor. My friend and I want to do the 2 day walk for cancer in a few years. We want to do it with our daughters when they are old enough. We figured we'd do it one year without them so we'd know what to expect.

Thanks for asking, she's doing okay. She's in pain from the ribs being broken, but she's very positive and at peace with it all. Her MRI results come back tomorrow, and once she has those then she'll know what the next course of action is, etc.

That's really cool! I did a run last year for breast cancer research in honor of my other aunt who had breast cancer, but is now in remission. Now that my aunt N has breast cancer, I was thinking of doing the run again to raise money. However, it's on the same day as a run that I'm already signed up for. I've missed all the breast cancer-related ones this year, so I'll have to wait until next year to do it.

I came close to running the marathon with Dana Farber who was raising money for the Julia Barr Foundation which supports breast cancer. I ended up running for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society who were just amazing. I still wear my t-shirt around and love it when people come up to thank me and tell me their stories.

My dad used to be a cancer surgeon and he's talked about the major strides in fighting breast cancer. I guess right now lung cancer is a big problem among women.

Sorry to hear about your aunt

That's awesome. :)

I've had many family members who've had some form of cancer over the years, but lately it's all been breast cancer.

It was last night. :)

And thanks!

How was the show? I leave on Saturday for mine.

It was good! He is so damn hilarious - we were in tears laughing at a few points. He was off key a fair bit, which was really grating on our ears (my mom is a professional singer, and I used to sing a lot too), but despite that he sounded fabulous most of the time. The opening act was incredible! I won't give anything away in case your show has the same guy, but he was VERY entertaining (his name's Elew).

I took a bunch of pictures and a few videos, so I'll post those on FB probably tonight. :)
