It's nice weather yesterday...and superb weather today!!!

My sis & I managed to see one section
(1 barge of the they have lined up) of the great
Macy's Fireworks along the Hudson River!

I'm just still extra tired here & there.............

I have slowly built up a spice and herb collection
so I can start cooking again (when ever) beyond
steam heating up prepared stuff bought as is and
adding an ingredient or 2, or cooking pasta!

I once made home made pasta with a friend!
Someday in the Fall weather goal of mine!
NOT that I'm rushing Fall to be here YET!

Glad to hear you and your sister are doing well!

I'm STILL making that pasta in foil recipe that Cori posted months back, it's become one of my staples, and the cooking method makes it as close to homemade pasta as you can get, without actually having to make it. SO good!

Whew, work day pretty much done. Now to drive to my home, pick up/drop off a few last things, drive back to house-sitting house and do all the things there. It will all be fine, it will all be fine.

i had a great day dream of getting to TO and
catching you, jem, Wild, and (before she told us
she had to bow out) dg - on the GA line around 8AM
after I'd "gotten off" the train and "into" a cab!


YES I remember you cooking that up way back and
using it more.

When I was a kid/teen my mom used to re-heart noodles by
putting them in a pot and adding butter and stirring.


SOmetime years later when i was doing my own cooking BUT
a few years after I had taught myself authentic Chinese cooking
.... I realized that maybe if I put the noodles in a steamer
(which I had gotten for some of the Chinese cooking)..
they might heat up b etter?

Wow, what a major difference it made in taste and texture! Yum!

Me too. Now I have so many of them, I dont even know all their names (for reals - my brother's kid's babies - not close to my brother anymore).

Happens when your nieces and nephews are closer in age to you than your brother and sister are.
