Also on the pictures.... I am tired of the weight discussion too, and let me say in defense of a man who gets his photo snapped almost the very second he steps outside, every time he goes outside, there are bound to be photos that are taken from unflattering angles, and in unflattering light which can add 20pds in the blink of an eye. I have experience with this like you all I am sure.
I mean if you see pictures of him (these here for example if during the same time frame,) he looks like the same old loveable Bono to me.
I am sure you all agree, that when you take pictures or see pictures of yourself on vacation or whatever you immediately toss the ones that make you look fat or not your gorgeous self right even though you weight exactly the SAME. You know what I mean?
He unfortuantely cannot toss out the pictures of himself (like he would care anyway) but instead the entire world gets to talk about it and disect it to no end.

Can you imagine if he were reading this? Which thank God he is not. Just the discussion alone is embarrassing.

Its making me laugh of you making silly excuses, its almost like you dont want to accept the truth. Bono at the moment is overweight, simple as, he will loose it yes, and it may be due to the tablets, but its defiantly not down to stupid camera angles. Like someone said though, its probably down to the tablets, simple as that, there's no point making silly excuses to cover him up, just accept what he is at the moment. All i said in the first place was he looks like he has put a few pounds on, and there everyone started acting blind and said he looks fine and im all of a sudden in the wrong. The minute someone speaks the truth around here you get slaughtered.

Why do you bring this up? It's not relevant. He's there as a private person and can look the way he wants to look. I'm sure it's hard enough for him to struggle with his injury and all the inconveniences that come with it. He surely doesn't look into the mirror every day thinking: Wow, I'm getting fat. It's more like he's trying to get fit again and free of pain. Bono's a superstar, but he's also human and a private person. If I have such an awful injury and surgery and people are telling me I have to watch my weight while trying to recover, I'd be very pissed.

I don't think anyone is blind here, we all know and accept Bono has had weight issues, it's obvious from many pictures, and also from seeing the man in person, that he has gained and lost weight over the years. The older he gets, the more difficult it becomes to stay trim, he's not the only person around 50 with that problem. I know a lot of guys who are very active and don't eat and drink unproportionally, but they still develop a little belly when they're in their late 40s. Bono's not superman, he has the same physical issues like anyone else and I'm sure he's trying hard to stay fit - or get fit again. So hard that he even injured his back. Now give the man a break.

Seriously, sorry to step on your toes, but we are a bit protective of Bono in these parts if you haven't noticed and everytime the weight thing comes up it just gets old.

I was just trying to put the shoe on the other foot, to see it from his perspective.

Since it's France, it's probably truffles or something Glad to see him up and moving but he doesn't quite look ready to "rock 'n roll" yet.

When I read those comments I assumed there were recent pictures of Bono's bare chest farther back in the thread. Now I am disappointed!
