... are you implying I would willingly go to Festy Hall?
I'll supply ice vests?
Haha, didn't think so! I don't necessarily love them, but I'm gonna go.

Vampire Weekend channels superior music through what Axver would refer to as a "stereotypical indie" filter.
so essentially there are an everyman's "indie" band, not standouts or anything. may skip.
what have you listened to so far trav?
Ok thread full of VW-haters, Danny listen to the album if you're curious and form an opinion. As I said in that review, I hated the debut as much as Traviud over there. In fact, at least Traviud FINISHED the debut, I couldn't even do that much. And yet, here I am PURCHASING this one, so I think it's a great turn-around on their part.
Anyways, just my two cents.
LM, you haven't listened to Surfer Blood's Astro Coast yet?
Shall I venture into the land of Los! Cam!pe!sin!os!!!!! ?
Haven't even heard of it, my friend. What's it sound like?
And no, probably not, but if you really want to, this is the album to do it with. They've reined in their more irritating qualities and made an album I'm proud to say I love. Hard to say what exactly I love about it, except that the songs are all fucking ace. It's also their most ambitious work, I'd say.
Los Campesinos are another band that I haven't given the time of day, nor do I necessarily feel like I should.
LM, if you hadn't seen the other thread, everyone but me suggested you listen to the self-titled BRMC album first. I said do a back-to-back of Howl and Baby 81.
