I'd agree with you in the gaps, but it seems to mirror this tour where they had quite a few days off between cities for rest and the major setup.

Oh well, if they don't come back I'll spin the globe and pick a city. I hope it's not Pawnee, Indiana.

WHAT ABOUT OHIO????!!!! HELLO??? Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, plus Cleveland and Coumbus are GREAT audiences for this band!!! There is too much of a gap before E. Lansing, they need to add OHIO!!!! Forget some of the cities they played before, they need to come to Ohio, MInnesota, St. Louis....UGH!!!!

I think Turin, Zurich and perhaps 2nd nights in the shows still to go on sale, according to demand. Though this still leaves the relatively long gaps after Istanbul (Zurich?) and Brussels.

I wonder if the delay in announcing Zurich and no Vienna 2 as of yet are connected?

I also wonder if negotiations are ongoing regarding Tel Aviv ...

I'm surprised that there's no Washington, DC, date. Also disappointed that none of the so far announced dates are anywhere near me  Time to convince the parents to take me on a big trip....

Only one night next year for chicago??? So they won't be doubling up in the states at all? Is this for sure.... because last time i spent alot of money for a seat ticket to find out another date was announced for chicago... hmm...

East Lansing?

What are they doing? Playing in just any old joint. Might as well be playing in Bonbeach.

So there is a show on the 23rd June and not aother till 30th June. The biggest gap in the US next leg.

Glastonbury is 23rd - 27th June. U2 are 4th favourites with the bookies (12-1), Rolling Stones, Coldpaly and Muse take top three spots.

I spoke to a mate's relative who is quite well connected - they used to work for press in a couple of premier league teams so hear quite few "rumours" and they say U2 to play Glastonbury.

Personally i hope they don't. Festival goers don't want them and the UK U2 fans want to see U2 in their own right. If this happens there defo won't be any UK dates. Not feelng optimistic today

U2 are not playing Glastonbury.

The gap will probably filled by Minneapolis and/or St Louis, or at an outside chance, Green Bay.

The ny show will be in such high demand with no Boston date.
I'm already thinking a roadtrip to Montreal is in order. I live in ri if anyone wants to join. :)

YES....I would love to make the 5 hr drive to Lansing, but it's on a weekday.:( At least give us Cleveland or Columbus?? Pittsburgh is probably a no-go since we already have Philadelphia.

And what about NC?:reject:

hopefully something in Wisconsin will be announced later. this would be the first time they didn't tour Wisconsin since.......ever.

Are there any cities beside NY which are probable for a second date?

I reckon Anaheim, Oakland, Edmonton, and Philadelphia are all very realistic shots at two shows.

Do they normally announce more dates while presale is happening? Presale starts on the 27th for some venues so that doesn't give them much time to announce more dates.

I answered this only about 15 posts back, see:

In Europe, the Brussels show was announced after numerous gigs were already put on sale, and it looks like there may be a couple more cities yet to be announced. So yes, quite possible they may announce more North American cities after the first sales begin.

Well,Well,Well!!,i''m so glad that i was wrong...VIVE U2 A MONTRÉAL!!:hyper:

Now,the fact that the venue is TBA is very interesting.2 things to keep in mind.1) They may put a new roof at the Big O next year.If the new roof isn't ready by July, then they could wait after the U2 gig to put the new roof,so it would be open air for the show.Or 2) With the 5000 more seats for next year at Percival Molson that would incrase to 25 000 seats plus 10 000 for GA,that would put the capacity to 35 000.So maybe 2 nights at Percival Molson.

Well see...

Looks like the only time they can fit in Boston would be July 14 b/w Philly and Montreal. I also think Cleveland will come somewhere b/w Edmonton and East Lansing.

Not to rain on the parade, but I disagree with Ax about there possibly being additional NA cities. Nowhere in the release does it say that additional cities will be announced - that line is on the Tour Page, and there I believe it refers to the yet-to-be-announced South American leg. However, there is the possibility of additional shows in announced cities (only Chicago and Toronto are called out as "one night only").

Personally, I was hoping for Foxboro3, but I don't think it's going to happen.

I guess I don't really think that's fair. I think they should play cities they haven't played yet.

So excited to see they posted dates... :hyper:

I agree I am surprised how few dates there are and how some cities and states are being skipped over. I was hoping for an Ohio date, but am happy that there may be a possible show we can go to because it is summer.

At most, they will only play 4 or 5 more US/Canadian cities after the 12 that have been announced. This is what I think will occur based on the current schedule for North America:

June 6 - Anihiem
June 7 - Anihiem
June 9 - additional city
June 12 - Denver
June 14 - additional city
June 16 - Oakland
June 17 - Oakland
June 20 - Seattle
June 23 - Edmonton
June 24 - Edmonton
June 26 - Additional city
June 28 - Additional city
June 30 - Lansing Michigan
July 3 - Toronto
July 6 - Chicago
July 9 - Miami
July 12 - Philadelphia
July 13 - Philadelphia
July 16 - Montreal
July 19 - East Rutherford
July 20 - East Rutherford

This is based on the tour starting in the LA area and finishing in East Rutherford at the new stadium. Another fact is that the band on this tour never plays a show in a different city the day after a show. There is always a full day off between shows in different cities.

I originally thought that Salt Lake City, San Diego, Winnipeg, Minneapolis, Madison, St. Louis, a city in Ohio, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Hartford would get shows.

But given the above factors plus the preference of playing two nights in any city where they feel there is enough demand, I think the only other possible cities they might still play are San Diego, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, a city in Ohio, and Pittsburgh.

At a minimum, at least 3 more cities will be added to the list.

So, adding in the Mexico dates plus these possible additional dates, the full 2nd North America Leg might run like this:

May 30 - Mexico City
May 31 - Mexico City
June 2 - Monteray
June 4 - San Diego
June 6 - Anihiem
June 7 - Anihiem
June 9 - Minneapolis
June 12 - Denver
June 14 - Salt Lake City
June 16 - Oakland
June 17 - Oakland
June 20 - Seattle
June 23 - Edmonton
June 24 - Edmonton
June 26 - Pittsburgh
June 28 - A city in Ohio
June 30 - Lansing Michigan
July 3 - Toronto
July 6 - Chicago
July 9 - Miami
July 12 - Philadelphia
July 13 - Philadelphia
July 16 - Montreal
July 19 - East Rutherford
July 20 - East Rutherford

This is just a pure speculation at this point though.

By reading some posts in this thread, some people who already got shows on the current leg in their city know how the people who didn't get a show in their city on this leg felt last March.
