why on earth do people actually keep saying that Fez BB should be played live? You guys are probably the same people that are complaining about how bad the crowds suck...can you imagine how bad the crowd would be if they actually played Fez BB?

You cannot have it both ways, people. C'mon now. It's pretty obvious that song is never going to get played live....and if it does i will eat my shoe. :sexywink:

Uh, I think it would be awesome live. And honestly, it would get a better reception than YBR since there's a bigger chance people have actually heard BB on the album!

If I have to pick a song that will have a shitty crowd anyway(every gig has one or more), I'll have to pick Fez-BB. Especially now on NLOTH Bono has proven that he actually can play audible guitar!

Really do think, that this is not the behaviour of a moderator, who demands to be respected. Respect is something to be earned, too ... If you thought to be funny about the comment of Mikal, it is not: I am not LoveTownTourist. You should be neutral, shouldn't you? As is @Sicy & others, that do a marvellous job here. So please explain/excuse yourself.
By the way: Do you have any contribution regarding the topic? Mine is, that the setlist now really stucks for ages regarding the DVD process – no risk, not so much fun, I think.

excuse me? though i am a mod, we are actually able to post as a regular member would. not every post i make is me, the mod, saying whatever. i know who is and isn't alters on the forum. believe me. it is not the mod's jobs to neutral, only when moderating. you're not actually implying i'm supposed to be some opinion-less robot, are you? hilarious. and big kudos to excluding me from the list of mods who "do a marvellous job." thanks. :| i owe you absolutely no explanation since you don't respect any of the mods at all. if you did, you would not continue to behave the way you do.

i consider myself a member of interference first and foremost, and a moderator second. yet despite what you may think i do not have to do anything to earn your respect. i'm not your mother, i'm a moderator of a private internet forum. and i'm getting rather sick of your lack of respect towards me and the other moderators.

So thank you for the explanation. By the way, I will not discuss with you – especially not about behaviour.

My opinions and why I hold them (i.e. the middle ground between the unblinking poles of objectivity and subjectivity.)

Pride- clapped-out since ZOO TV (the guitar sound is a problem) they saw sense and removed it.
WOWY- horrendous because Bono's vocal is all over the shop
One- At the moment it struggles because Bono sings behind the melody.
MW- Larry has taken all the funk out of the drum beat; no extended intro, no guitar solo; Bono trying and failing to sing it like some hip hop star (what on earth is "Johnny take a walk wid your sister in da rain" all about?)

just a week ago you were attacking the mods about the cencorship that goes on here.

and by the way, my comment was funny. i asked a couple people who are older than you, and they confirmed that it was funny.

the show I saw:

Streets has lost its juice. the band looked like they were just going through the motions on that song.

Bono talked the lyrics to With Or Without You instead of singing them.

When i listen back to JT tour and Zoo Tv versions of songs like NYD, WOWY, BAD, SBS etc they were all superior to the washed out versions we get now. I dont think they will ever recapture that electricity in their performance they had in them days. I still really enjoy the performances now, but is it just a case of it being better than nothing?

I hope the end of this tour will also be the end of all this complaining. Only a few more days to go, then our misery will be over.

But we do not know, whether the song versions will be better in 2010 – or worse. And what is your 'old' song, you do not like that much on the 360 tour?

Just got back from Vegas...

With or Without You sounds bad...but the crowd still gets up for it.

I was thrilled to NOT hear Bullet, Pride, & New Years Day as those three have just been terrible the last couple of tours.

Sunday Bloody Sunday seemed slow last night in Vegas but still rocked for some reason---and it sounded amazing in the Sheffield show so I don't think it's too overcooked.

For the record, the new stuff, especially NO LINE, ROCKED!!!

 When you look back at the first few shows of the tour, to now, the tour has improved loads. Im finally at that stage where i think the band has the perfect setlist for the tour, and god am i glad its going on DVD. Just look at these improvements:

- They have split up the 4 new records at the start with mysterious ways, which is also different to see right at the start of the show

- Yes they have dropped that cool intro to beautiful day, but the song did sound weak on European leg, and now its as if edge has tuned up his guitar and its back to how it should be.

- Elevation has dropped back in as a regular, and fits well with No line.

- We have had the opportunity to hear some brilliant tracks such as in a little while and stuck.

- Until the end of the world has become a regular, this song should of been a regular from the start. But they have even got the lighting effects spot on now.

- Snippet at the start of streets, and the long intro back to how it should be.

These arnt all the things the band has improved, but people needs to realise how much the setlist and the band themselves have come throughout the tour, and as we have the last shows coming up, we all should sit back and enjoy them, instead of moaning every single minute.

Of all the older songs you mention, IMHO, all of them reached their peak in previous tours. I just dont like Bonos laissez faire attitude tyo the older songs. But....the likes of NLOTH and Breathe Etc rock. So they can still do it, but just dont seem to put the effort into the more established songs. Even things like the sounds from Edges guitar, from my point, sound lame compared to the past versions. Songs like Bad, the guitar just isnt as vibrant as once it was.

What happened to Beautiful Day intro that was present during the European leg? I thought that was one of the things that made BD even better live. Now it's back the average during the US leg.

it was there until they started going from your blue room -> bd. right?

Correct. They first did YBR --> BD on 21 September 2009 in Boston, and ever since that show, BD has not had the extended intro.
