September 20, 21 - Gillette Stadium - Foxboro, MA-who's in?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

That bar (in the pics) looks good. Too bad it's a mile away, or I'd consider going there post-concert.
I found out it's actually called Fusion 5 now (apparently it's been recently totally renovated - see the photos I posted earlier today). I think it looks good for our purposes.

Okay then I guess unless someone has an objection, Fusion 5 it is...same time I guess 7:30 - address is 105 Washington. It's on the same road as the stadium. Doesn't look to me like they take reservations but we should have no problem getting a few tables put together. Worst case scenario, we can just hang out by the bar. I probably will eat beforehand and just have drinks there. Should be a bit lower key than the places at Patriot Place. I guess they sometimes have live bands and/or a DJ on the weekends. Think we could convince the DJ to play some U2?:sexywink:

Sorry the reservation didn't work out. (not that I could come anyway!)

So I'm stupid and bought 2 extra GAs for 9/21 that I don't need, figuring if I didn't then, they'd be gone immediately. Obviously, that isn't the case...so roight, if you or anyone you know would like two GAs (@ cost), please let me know!

If they haven't gone by Tuesday night, let me know and I'll check with my co-worker when we're back in the office on Wednesday.

I know, I also thought Id have my extras sold by now. :( Good luck with yours!

:hmm: I was just checking out their website and they have a U2 tribute band playing from 5-7 before the shows on Sunday and Monday. It might be something to do before the show if you have seats, especially as it is free. It looks like there is a $5 cover on the weekend.

$5 cover? I think I can do that.

Also, I will be working on Friday the 18th at the restaurant I told some of you about via PM. If anyone wants to come in and leave me an amazing tip say hello, feel free to. :sexywink:

Rosephile and zoobaby, you're both going to the show on Sunday, right? If you haven't sold the tickets, ask around, see if anyone wants to buy one off of you.

That's right. I know, I'll do that if it comes to that, but ideally it'll be taken care of before then! I had an annoying-ass time doing that at a Foo Fighters show and missed half of the first band (and a chance at a front spot) to get my money back. This loser dad with two bored-looking teenage girls was pestering me to sell him my tickets for half the price, and this scalper guy offered me less than that, and the woman who finally bought them said that the same scalper tried to get her to pay 150%-cost or something.

 Whatever, it turned out okay, and the concert was great, I'd just prefer to avoid standing outside a venue feeling like an idiot as much as possible.

LOL exactly. I hope it doesnt have to come to that; hmm how does one prepare themselves for feeling like an idiot? Im sure Id feel the same way... like a popcorn seller at a baseball game...

OK, we should make plans for GA line food runs. There are a lot of places we can get takeout from.
Anyone know if its acceptable/ permitted to bring a few cold brewskies for the long wait in GA? I know you can in the parking lot, but I don't know about the line.

Sounds like fun but I'm doing GA both nights. Are you coming on Sat. night?

I would but we don't get in until Saturday afternoon. Will we see you Sat. night?

I hope so! I'm picking up extra shifts over the next 2 weeks to make up for the 4 nights I'll be off(19th-22nd). After Monday, my next day off likely won't be until the 19th. :crack: Also working on selling stuff too.

Things are rough right now. I even very briefly considered selling my tickets last night. :reject:
